Lorene Drive used to be sweet, now he's resorted to this? Pretty lame.

atticus18244fss 11/02/09 11:02 AM

Such a bad band...

zubinmoosa 11/02/09 12:02 PM

What? This makes little/no sense...

1mastalker 11/02/09 12:41 PM

No surprise after what Lorene Drives last ep sounded like.

Put it this way: if you were workinga job for $9 an hour for 5-10 years, no matter how much you love that job, at some point you have to move on to something more promising. If that job will at least be fun and utilize your skill set, as well as increase your income tenfold, you would be a fool not to take it. As sad as it is that lorene drive is done for, that is what it is. If you don't like the way it is, the ONLY way it will ever change is if YOU as fans of music support your bands by buying their records, merch and tickets, promoting them to everyone you know, and possilbly even making a career for yourself in the industry.

agreed... alot of the people who talk shit are the same people not showing up to their shows when they come to town, same kids not buying the albums retail or merchandise... not all, but alot

I'm confused as to why people are upset....Lorene Drive was/is a horrible band. Good riddance.

how is it an unfortunate career move when he left a basically unknown band to be in a highly popular one?

SaoFoldSurvive 11/02/09 03:36 PM

That's.....sad.

ydoucare 11/02/09 03:39 PM

What really? I love Lorene Drive, but Hollywood Undead...gross

randys950 11/02/09 04:37 PM

is this guy going to wear a mask too?

Ape$hit 11/02/09 05:12 PM

yeah, he has a mask. i didn't really pay attention to if it's the same one deuce wore or not. i don't think it was.

bobcatbob18 11/02/09 05:29 PM

I actually kind of dig HU. "This Love, This Hate" is a cool jam.

dan3the1man1 11/02/09 07:09 PM

WTF, my name is Daniel Murillo. And I'm going to see Atreyu/Hollywood Undead on wednesday. What are the odds?

YoungSavage 11/03/09 01:13 AM

WTF, I understand if Lorene Drive dropped the ball and he wants to keep on as a professional musician. Seriously though, Romantic Wealth is one of the most underrated albums ever and I got a chance to drink with this dude and the rest of Lorene Drive and they are cool as fuck. They were as rock and roll as they come and now he's in a fucking Nu Metal rap rock bank, I think i'm gonna puke.

SexyJeff 11/03/09 01:18 AM

I hope that the rest of Lorene Drive comment on their status. If they're finished, they should just say "fuck it" and put out a collection of whatever they may have recorded for a second album like the Matches recently did. Make your fans happy. Lorene Drive was highly underrated and I wish they would've made it big. What a bummer.

You're actually singing too. You should probably practice.

agl 11/03/09 08:15 AM

From what i know, Deuce is sitting out the tour to work on his solo work, also heard he may be sick, but not sure. Either way, this guy is merely filling for the time being, Deuce is still with Hollywood Undead

yeah i was afraid of that. i was really excited for that little period when LD was talking with universal, but i guess nothing more is meant to happen. im fine with it, because they did an amazing job doing what they did. now they can move on and I just hope they shall be supported in whatever they do.

It amazes me how people get so stuck in their bubble. At least you're out there pursuing what you love -- singing.

Despite whatever experiences you have, don't change your ability to find personal growth in whatever you do. Your sound is hella different with Hollywood Undead, but I'm hoping that you're finding a way for it to work for both you and the band.

Also, I'm glad to hear that you want to learn French, although you strike me as the type that'd speak Portuguese first... You're waaaay too friendly, chill n' party-like... But then again, you are a romantic, so I guess French will work for ya. Take care bud...Hope everything works out well for you in upcoming months.

the difference between Hollywood Undead and ICP is that HU don't take themselves seriously and don't pretend to be legit rappers. They make fun music that people like to dance to. HU aren't pretending to be ghetto, they're club kids who like to party. I don't think they make great music but it sure is fun to listen to.

SoxRock 11/13/09 11:46 AM

I saw Hollywood Undead October 29th in NYC with the new singer and I must say that even though it didn't really look like he is a person who fits into the mold of the band members, he did an amazing job singing. His voice sounded flawless live and I preferred the way he sang the choruses even more than Deuce ever did.

Deuce apparently is pursuing solo work so if he does leave the band and Daniel becomes the permanent new lead singer, I think it's a win-win situation for everyone. Daniel will make more money while enjoying playing big sold out shows and Hollywood Undead has gained a new lead singer that I feel sings better than Deuce ever did. I just hope Daniel fits well into the band because he has a lot of talent and I was very impressed with him.

For those wondering about a mask:
I believe I heard he was sporting an all gold mask.

PerfectChaos337 11/22/09 07:23 PM

Maybe HU will take LD on tour. That would be dope.

a) They're not a new band.

b) He's... fronting them? What? Are there like... videos or songs showing this?

c) This guy's style would match Maroon 5, not Hollywood Undead. Haha.

d) Nothing about this on Hollywood Undead's MySpace.

Is there another band called Hollywood Undead? I like a few of their songs but this is strange news.

First of all, no, I'm not "much of a h.u. fan". I actually like maybe 3 or 4 songs but most of their stuff is shit. "Undead" is cool though.

Second of all, I'm guessing you're not above the age of 13. Learn proper English, please. ur? coz? shud? "to" good? You really can't type a couple extra letters to make it "should"? That hurt to read.

Ok, so heres the deal...

Well ladies and gentlemen, heres whats going down with this situation. Deuce, member of Hollywood Undead, recently took a break from touring with the band to work on a solo project. Daniel Murillo was hired to be a touring member (like tour member Biscuitz, who is a drummer for the band during touring.) to sing Deuce's parts in HU's songs. Deuce is in most every HU song, it would be impossible to just not sing the songs with out his part being sung. This has been so controversial since nether HU, or Deuce have commented on the subject. So as it is now Deuce is still a member of Hollywood Undead. Also to be noted that on Deuce's personal website, his Hollywood Undead mask is directly in the center of the homepage. You would think if he had left the band on bad terms that he would of cut ties with something as iconic as the HU mask. I have listened to some of Daniel's work and I believe he is a good vocalist, all tho I do not believe that his vocal style would match well with that of HU's. I personally would not like to see Deuce leave, he is a vital piece of Hollywood Undead, and I do not believe HU would be the same with out him.

BIGSHADY 11/11/10 02:41 AM

This article caught my attention for two reasons, first I have heard all "their" music, but wait was it really their music. No it was not, they were made to sound good by a very talented young man, and now that that young man is not around they have attempted to fill the void with Daniel Murillo. Not fair to that young man, yes he made some money touring but he sang another mans songs that don't fit his style or image, he actually says some awful degrading things that makes me wonder if he is this sweet loving guy. but anything for money, i guess. For those of you that thinks Daniel sucks, look at who is surrounded with, no talent at all. Then the shoes he is trying to fill don't fit him.screaming is not his style and thats all they really do.Its been over 3 years and not one new song from HU 4 projects were rejected by AMO for being not worthy. No fault of Daniels he is not a producer, and his life style is way different from those guys in HU. Second reason is Deuce the guy that produced swan songs is the man that made HU .But they didn't like the fact that he was very involved with his music and tired of all the debauchery, so they devised a plan to rid themselves of the man that got them where they were. They must of forgot he was their producer and how hard it was for him to make them sound listen-able and now no producer will dedicate himself like Deuce did. So don't blame Dan, just hope he saved to little bit of money he made fooling the fans into believing they had new songs to play.almost 4 years later they played the same tired songs with the same lousy intro. They will end up in hiatus, and Lorene Drive will take off because of Daniels new fame, all they need to do is get back in the garage and make some new LD hits and covers.Daniel go back to your roots bro you have a fan base now use it to your advantage and leave these losers before they disgrace your name and think about the kids...
Deuce has since gave his fans at least four very good songs, one aimed at HU for their betrayal, "Story of a Snitch" and he is also opened for Eminem and Kiss at Epicenter
