When I was 15 or so, my brother's Jr. High youth group was having an event at my Church, and the youth pastor's friend's band was playing a little mini show in the background while all these preteens played board games and ran around. I dropped him off and thought they sounded pretty cool, so I asked my brother to get me a CD if they had one.
Eight years later, this is why I have a signed copy of the "Forever EP" by NumberOneGun.

Ouch - what haven't you liked lately?

jusscali 01/13/10 12:29 PM

Fucking sick. Love everything I've heard. Although straightforward there is something about the music that feels somewhat refreshing. He does a great job with his own production.

drudo182 01/13/10 12:36 PM

I dig it. Looking forward to this one a lot.

Pretty much the only fantasy I've dedicated to my future wedding is that I want our first dance as a husband and wife to be to "These Things."

mageVSlock 01/13/10 04:02 PM

Ok yeah this song is really fucking good and I think it made me a fan of this band again.

And yes Celebrate Mistakes was amazing.

brockstringer 01/13/10 04:13 PM

jeff is the man! he's definitely pulled this one off. i love all number one gun's cd's. promises and north pole i've listened to religiously. he's super talented.

Kaku 01/13/10 04:22 PM

Somehow I never really got into Celebrating Mistakes. Dunno why. Well, maybe because when I started listening to NOG TNPP was just released and it might be bit to old school for my taste. ;)

splitsecond 01/13/10 05:07 PM

so great.

S9Dallasoz 01/13/10 05:16 PM

This album will be awesome.

Well, I don't know if there was anything I specifically disliked but I just haven't seen anything standout lately. I'm not including City And Colour when I say that, that was a nice exclusive.

aoftbsten 01/13/10 06:51 PM

Sounds damn good.

ArmorForZzZzZ 01/13/10 09:15 PM

FuckYourScene 01/13/10 11:05 PM

markbroadway 01/13/10 11:09 PM

permanentdan 01/14/10 01:29 AM

Hamlet 01/14/10 02:46 AM

This dude knows how to write a song!

Mark Woodall 01/14/10 05:33 AM

Celebrate Mistakes was unbelievable, Promises was solid but the last album was a huge disapointment and this doesn't sound much better. Very uninspired.

No worries - just curious! Hope to bring you some standout items in the New Year :)

andthetruthwill 01/14/10 11:38 AM

Not enough good things can be said about this song. I have a feeling this record will cement itself within my ears for a while.

invincibleXL 01/14/10 02:22 PM

it's a shame all of his albums only have 10 tracks

handlikesecret 01/14/10 11:47 PM

i remember getting Celebrate Mistakes and Promises for the Imperfect a wicked long time ago. listening to them now, they definitely have some strong tracks, but i think both albums get a bit bland after a while.

i'll be keeping an eye on the new stuff though. Jeff definitely knows what he's doing.
