EMI Reports $2.4 Billion Loss

Maybe soon it'll be down to the Big Three instead of Big Four.

samOTG 02/05/10 12:19 PM

Whoops. Not surprising though, very old school.

thechetearly 02/05/10 12:20 PM

I'm not too sure how to feel about that...but I can't imagine that it would be a good thing...?

Paul Tao 02/05/10 12:21 PM

I mean, who could possibly make money these days when the catalogs you own are tiny acts like Coldplay and The Beatles?

StefanMaxxx 02/05/10 12:22 PM

Please happen asap.

fran.182 02/05/10 12:25 PM

That's bad...

skyphoenix 02/05/10 12:25 PM

Maybe they should sue 30 Seconds to Mars for 2.4 billion this time.

zachff 02/05/10 12:28 PM

It's ok. According to Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, "after taxes, a million dollars is not a lot of money."

Yellowcard2006 02/05/10 12:29 PM

Holy crap.

COREhorizon 02/05/10 12:31 PM

Fuck all that noise

In other news, life goes on.

aerofan11 02/05/10 12:35 PM

It would be a huge shame if EMI do go bankrupt. But, I don't see that happening. Another company will probably save it, or at least buy all of the big artists on the label (and there's a lot of them).

Dinosaurs will slowly die
And I do believe no one will cry
I'm just fuckin glad I'm gonna be
There to watch the fall...

Colinreturn 02/05/10 12:38 PM
