News story of the day

gr33ndayfr3ak 02/17/10 06:06 PM

Sounds like it'll fit perfectly between Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace on my local rock station.

bobcatbob18 02/17/10 06:08 PM

Can't wait to see these guys next Friday! I'm still 50/50 on the new album but regardless, they are gonna melt my face.

joppyxtsl 02/17/10 06:11 PM

it's alright

Supernovacaine 02/17/10 06:15 PM

sappy feel that is begging for radio airplay.. disappointing.

BigG1392 02/17/10 06:17 PM

Video is alright. I was actually really impressed with this album.

schmohawk 02/17/10 06:22 PM

song kinda sucks

HogarthHughes 02/17/10 06:23 PM

Definitely not the best song on the album, but the video is pretty cool.

yup pretty much

Trauma Caspian 02/17/10 07:20 PM

Pretty good video, what a stupid ending though

Shoorty0690 02/17/10 07:21 PM

The guitar has a very bullet for my valentine tone. I like the song though. Pretty catchy. Why is the volume so low on the video though?

therookielot 02/17/10 07:25 PM

so he's a werewolf?

ok.

rawspinner 02/17/10 07:27 PM

the song is okay, but Dan's voice still shines. He's got a really good tone in my opinion

TangledUp 02/17/10 07:31 PM

I miss them. I love Dan's voice. I used to really dig these guys, but listening to Page Avenue recently, I realized that I'm just not into them anymore. Makes me sad.

At the time, I loved Page Avenue so much .. when I listened to it just the other day, I was really disappointed with it. Every song sounded the same to me. Maybe if I listened to one of their other ones, I'd enjoy it more.

Weird how thin the line between mainstream rock and AP.net rock is.

I'm going to this show too. Seeing SOTY at a small place like Cubby Bear is cool, but Saosin and AM Taxi are just nice bonuses.

Whaaat! I don't think this song sounds like anything like these two bands. But then again I have a little bias.

NortyCore 02/17/10 08:43 PM

dont worry guys, you still have faithful fans that dont think your sound compares to three days grace or breaking benjamin, haha. its a disgrace to even they you guys compare to them.

decrescendo27 02/17/10 08:45 PM

Man, these guys used to be so much more technical. I've only given the new album 5 spins but it doesn't seem to have that thrash metal vibe that In The Wake Of Determination had. Page Avenue was really good and so was The Black Swan. This record doesn't seem to compare to the first three as of yet. Oh well.

I miss the riffage. And Phil Sneed's voice is incredible, too. They have 2 amazing vocalists in this band for sure.

decrescendo27 02/17/10 08:47 PM

PS does anyone remember when Phil used to sing with Saosin?

I'm getting old :(

Could not agree more. I'm still finding it hard to imagine SOTY rocking the CB's stage. Its kinda small haha.

SuNDaYSTaR 02/17/10 09:39 PM

Brand New meets Snow Patrol.

Lycareth 02/17/10 10:00 PM

Weird to say, and idk why this is my first impression but, I feel like Senses Fail and SOTY are becoming one band

Steeeve Perry 02/17/10 10:26 PM

Haven't checked out the vid, but song isn't too bad. I like the build to the chorus, sans the cheesy lyrics. I agree Dan't voice stands out on The Constant, was only thinking today whilst listening it deserved an 8.25 at least in the review score, not 7.

Crimson_Curse 02/17/10 10:35 PM

great song.

Reck Room 02/18/10 08:29 AM

still not sure how i feel about the record but dudes put on one of the best live shows ever!

CarouselBoy 02/18/10 10:43 AM

well i haven't bought the record yet and after hearing all the negativity and I just wasn't sure if I wanted to get it. One run through on myspace didn't sway me and I feel like they've gotten softer. Maybe i wasn't listenin. Cool video though.

Yeah. I was there a few weeks ago watching my friend, who just started playing music a few months ago, onstage at the Cubby Bear. Hard to imagine a national act like SOTY being on stage.

You ever been to a rock concert at CB? I'm sure hoping they move the tables and chairs.

I played there in November at an open mic night. They kept the chairs and tables out. Did you get tickets already? I might just pay at the door but I don't want this badboy to sellout.

Yeah that's when I saw my friend...and the tables/chairs were there. I just hope they move them for a show like this.

I got my tickets already...$21 a piece.

blinkoffspring8 02/18/10 07:47 PM

Not bad but there are better songs on the album
