Hahah yeah link doesn't work!

Edit: Manually searched for their profile, and Holy SHITT this song is fucking amazing. Riffs, drums, vocals--everything's amazing.

Young Machetes 03/31/10 11:52 AM

Love this.

Can this album just come out already?

tjm125 03/31/10 11:53 AM

Sounds exactly like their old stuff. Progression is not their strong suit. Still pretty solid though.

My thoughts exactly. Great music, but some progression would have been nice.

Shakriel 03/31/10 11:55 AM

Will check out once class ends. Stoked for this album.

Smeee 03/31/10 11:56 AM

Sounds good. New album might be a bit more varied.

this AND The Great White Whale are far more progressed than their early stuff. have you heard of Stutterfly? Yea, same band. Different lead singer.

Scott Carlton 03/31/10 12:05 PM

amazing song from an amazing album.

Dani8080 03/31/10 12:06 PM

Oooo, this sounds great. It does sound like their older stuff, but if it kicked ass then, why change it?

dookiedog 03/31/10 12:07 PM

Love This Band!

vaguestcargo 03/31/10 12:08 PM

I love the sound of the song, but "as I sink into my waterbed"? Really?

Edit: Did he just say "we will watch, with suntan lotion"? Wtf?

imtherealdave 03/31/10 12:13 PM

Lyrics have never been their strong suit.

So it seems. I liked some of the stuff on their last album (except maybe "talking about the dinosaurs and how they died, haha"), but the stuff from this album is getting especially cheeseball.

NFG4ever 03/31/10 12:21 PM

This is proboly my favorite new song so far , the man's voice is just amazing

ths<3bts4onlyu 03/31/10 12:24 PM

This is pretty great, but not very different from their previous album.

B4Bronco6 03/31/10 12:36 PM

Who cares if it sounds the same as their last album.

At least they didn't sell out and turn mainstream/poppy like Saosin did with ISOSG.

Sometimes not changing, doesn't hurt, ie Story of the Year

SomedayTheFire 03/31/10 12:36 PM

Music = good. Vocals = good. Lyrics = horrendous.

Rysker6 03/31/10 12:37 PM

Wow, I've seen the name tossed around here and there but had never listened before. It does sound Saosinish doesn't it.

Bongi5788 03/31/10 12:39 PM

I am reviewing this album for another site. It really is a great album.

zubinmoosa 03/31/10 12:44 PM

Love this band so much. Can't wait to hear Teenage Fantasy

Color Morale 03/31/10 12:57 PM

I am Mick 03/31/10 12:57 PM

This record is going to be awesome

Sounds just like Spider Besider

InBetweenAisles 03/31/10 01:12 PM

This is such a good song.

barkingincision 03/31/10 01:13 PM

the bridge of this song slays

I think its obvious we wont understand why he used the lyrics he did,but this album is personal to Charles the vocalist. Its most likely him writing about his memories of his teen years. We may not understand it,but i'd like him to explain each song for maybe a deeper meaning.

We interviewed them for the next T&N Podcast that should be coming pretty soon.

iAMhollyood315 03/31/10 01:41 PM

its got the T&N stamp of approval which means good. crazy how branding can influence opinions of a product.

Yep. Good, but I can't see much staying power.

Saosin still did this sound better. S/t>>>Great White Whale>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ISOSG

EDIT: Shit meant to quote someone else!
But I agree with you on the lyric front.

This.

inthemidst 03/31/10 02:48 PM

Also, I find them to be much better than Saosin, but yes, the style of music is similar.

Thank you.

And to all you people who say Saosin does this better, I actually disagree. Secret and Whisper have a different sound and are on their own planet with it, I would say. They're faster and more melodic and ambient.

As for you lyric-haters, sometimes simple lyrics are just as effective as eloquent ones with flowery language. I admire Adam Young (Owl City) for his simplicity and limericky cleverness just as much as I admire Kevin Matisyn (Evans Blue, Parabelle) for his eloquence and emotional depth.

Ryan Gardner 03/31/10 02:57 PM

Sounds great. I'm so excited for this record.

Yeah some of his lyrics are odd but I think their music is powerful and with the intensity Charles brings, those lyrics have to mean something.

Heroin Robot 03/31/10 03:50 PM

Can we stop with the saosin comparisons

Cheesus 03/31/10 03:53 PM

Great White Whale pt.2, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Jake Jenkins 03/31/10 03:56 PM

I'm so excited for this album, this song is awesome, as are all the other released songs so far.

barkingincision 03/31/10 04:10 PM

Saosin w/Ant > Secret & Whisper > Saosin w/Cove > Stutterwho?

Aphasia17 03/31/10 04:25 PM

Definitely my favorite song of the ones I've heard so far. Yeah the lyrics are strange on this one, but for me their appeal is in the music and the awesome vocals. Charles can belt!

TwelveTribes230 03/31/10 04:44 PM

Sooo damn good.

ca_e_me 03/31/10 04:52 PM

stoked for this album!
