Wow, I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I'll put this on my list of things to buy. I thought the single they had through their Absolutexclusive was alright, I'll give it another shot.

The song we streamed here is not their single, and is pretty different than the rest of the album. Check out their myspace for 2 songs more like the rest.

Pre-ordered this the other day. Pretty excited

This review is probably a little unbalanced on the pro's side, but it achieved the attended effect. I will definitely be giving this a spin when it comes out. Feel-good pop by honest, hard-working, talented musicians is my kind of deal.

From the songs on their myspace, a band that you could safetly list in the 'Recommended If You Like' would be The Rocket Summer. They're way closer to TRS than Copeland, from what I can hear.

Oh, and Steve, which most anticipated releases were you referring to in the first sentence?

Blake Solomon 04/22/10 01:54 PM

yeah, this is a huge step up for them. i pretty much like every song.

As always, Steve, very well written review. You're definitely a consistently strong writer, nice work.
And I've heard of this band, but I'm listening for the first time. They definitely remind me of 1997 and just a fun sound in general, really liking it a lot. Definitely going to check the album out when it comes out.

Yeah TRS is a good comparison, but Bryce has always been a little TOO poppy for me, whereas this is a good mix.

Off the top of my head, Lostprophets, Coheed, and Circa Survive were some of my most anticipated that turned out to be pretty bad.
