Not really dude, its his opinion. I happen to agree with him too.

The Mcribb for me is like "Oh yeah the McRibb is back?" "I remember that sandwich..i didnt like it the first time around...it gave me the shits"

A Change of Pace for me is like "Oh yeah ACOP has a new record?" "I remember them...i didnt like them the first time around...they gave me the shits"

very similar

just listen to "how to rape a country", "war in your bedroom" and "safe and sound in phone lines"... those songs all sound very different from one another and are also extremely memorable in my opinion. i really like the record. it had to grow on me first, but now i just think it`s a very fun, good record that anybody should enjoy who likes catchy pop punk tunes. my only complaints are the lyrics (i have to agree: very immature) and the production, that could have been a bit rawer (especially the guitars).

Man, you should listen to some better music. If you think this record is a prime example of variation, then you need to branch out more.

I tried listening to this album and found it very, very annoying.

Good review.

i think the cd rocks

not groundbreaking but fuk it who cares..jus gimme a good cd
but at least in the review u explained y u didnt like it instead of taking the easy way out and jus making fun of them

i agree with steve's take on the album. it's pretty average. it's not horrible, and i don't think it deserves a 31% but it's nothing more than a 70-75%

Do people really think this is up there for best albums of this year?!?!? I find that astounding. It's alright if you like this as a guilty pleasure, just some catchy rehash band, but album of the year? Srsly??? Ay yay yay :shake:

I'd give it a 6... greatly improved over their first record but still nothing great. Also, the song 'Prepare The Masses' is just flat out retarded. The beginning of the song is awesome and got me pretty pumped, then all of a sudden it turns into a Romeo & Juliet story... give me a fuckin break.

It is hard to argue that the production is not good. But all the production in the world can not save a bad record. I would sooner listen to a bad recording of a great record than a great recording of a bad one anyday.

Go listen to the early Hot Water Musics, Captin Jazz, Against Me, Texas Is tHe Reason or any other band who started without a big recording buget and proved themselves with their music and not their producer. There are so many great old records that sound like ass but are still worth listening to ten years later because the music is still as relaavent as ever.

I had a lot of fun listening to this record pretty much all the way through.

I dig tracks like "Take Care," "I'm Alive," and "A Song.." They are nothing groundbreaking at all, but the hooks are huge and put me in a good mood. This is just a fun CD to me. I'd give it like a 7-7.5.

Ditto, I like this album. I was really surprised that I've enjoyed it as much as I have because their first cd I listened to all of one time before discarding it. To Scott, if it's not from Seattle it's shit!
