Not bad. The singer has a strong voice.

Thanks for posting this :) Their old music was pretty well-liked and the new stuff is even better. Similar, but a bit heavier/more rough around the edge I think.

did anyone go to their first show ever when they were takota, and peelander z opened for them?

I don't know if I was at their first show, but I went to the majority of their local shows as Takota.

So what happened to Takota? Is it the same line-up? The Ivory Tower was a great record and I always wondered what had happened to them. I thought they'd signed to Island at one point.

Music isn't bad. Good to add to my library.

They were signed to Island for a while and had written a ton of new music but I'm assuming there were issues with the label because none of it ever got released and they changed their name and their style to an extent. The only Takota songs they play anymore are the ones that they wrote after the first album, like "Los Angeles" and "Afraid of the Dark." It's pretty much the same line-up though. New drummer and the lead guitarist is fairly new too.

This is great. I can't believe how much great material is out there for free.

Grant Arnow (lead singer) is a main dude. I saw him perform when his pre-Takota band, Spindle, was still together. I already have their live studio track "Undertow," and like it quite a bit. I'm really looking forward to following this project. The fact that they released an EP is the best news I've heard all day.
