They're all markets who can throw the most money at a big free agent, but how can you afford all 3 and a supporting cast? And besides the climate, whats to lure someone to the Heat? They've had D-Wade and a championship recently and still play to an empty arena. In respect to pro sports, Miami has to be considered one of the worst for fan support in the US.

The fan support is pretty bandwagon down here, I agree.

Nobody can get all three, and I think Wade is going to stay in Miami and hopefully help land Amare (or Bosh).

Next year is also going to be a big free agent year--Carmelo is going to be up along with a few others (assuming the CBA isn't fucked), so that may be some teams' plans, land one guy this year and someone else next year.

If I'm Lebron, I definitely want to go to the Clippers! Get Baron out of town asap and pick up a decent scoring point guard (Bron doesn't want a distributer, he wants the ball) and you have a sick team. DeAndre, Blake, Bron, Eric Gordon -- all in their primes (in a couple years time) and some depth.
PS Clippers should draft Al Farouq as insurance.

Chicago is obviously the best option for Lebron if he's not staying in Cleveland. Why would he want to go to what is considered by most the worst (or 2nd worst behind the Knicks) managed franchise in the NBA. Not to mention the Clippers aren't even the main basketball team in their own town, Lebron would have to spend the next 4 years playing second fiddle to Kobe in Kobe's own town.

Lebron's not going to LA.

Not gonna happen.

Fuck the Clippers and fuck Geffen. I'm 90 percent sure he's going to Chicago. I just read an article about it the other day; something about the coaches meeting with Lebron's agent or something and taking a huge step towards him coming to Chicago. Apparently that's the team he's closest to signing with.

Thank God. Lebron + Rose = Dynasty.

whatever article you read is full of shit. no team can talk about james until july 1st.

IF he leaves the CAVS for another team. He would go to team that can win and get him a ring next year not 20 years from now.

LeBron is going to new jersey.

Having said that, with low-payroll, short-history franchises like the Marlins and Panthers, its hard to fill the stands with casual fans in an area with so much going on, I understand that.

Glad to hear someone agree about nobody stockpiling all-stars, I don't know why there aren't more critics squashing that talk?
I think you hit it on the head about a 2 year free-agent plan; you shouldn't try and overhaul a team in a single off-season, because if you miss the mark with your signings and their chemistry, you can be fucked for years

Anyone who thinks Lebron is leaving Cleveland is out of their mind.

Sloth7 06/08/10 06:23 PM

Living in the NY/NJ area, all I hear all day on sports radio is talk if Lebron is coming to the Knicks or the Nets. I hate the NBA anyway and after this nonstop talk going back a year or two, I cannot take it anymore. I hope he stays as far away from this area as possible, so I'm all for him going to the Clippers, as unlikely as that is.

Better yet, just stay in Cleveland.

PaperRival-Jake 06/08/10 06:26 PM

Clippers? No. I like LJ, but I think he's going to do what anyone would do... Go to a championship caliber team. Clippers? Doubtful even with LJ.

Why do all NBA players think they can rap? Kareem Rush is the only NBA player who has a halfway decent voice.
