i loved the town as well

Scott Weber 09/18/10 08:13 AM

I liked the town but wouldn't say it was great. doesn't even come close to the departed. i loved the setting and the action was fantastic but relationships weren't properly cultivated so the emotional connection wasn't quite there. still very good.

Go anyway.

I know im in the minority, but i didnt think the departed was as great as its talked about being.

It was good, but not great.

i agree

It's really good, but I liked it less the second and third times around. It's hard to think about anything but the ending the first time you see it.

So Fake Problems and The Menzigers are fantastic live. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed an opener I didn't know that much, much less two.

liking this Boardwalk Empire show. I'll see how the rest of the season is, now that they ain't Scorsese directed

By the way, great fucking call on that avatar. Such a great album. I'll assume you like Into It. Over It., correct?

Not really actually. It's a cool idea but it's just a bunch of really underdeveloped and mediocre songs.

Probably going to see The Town on Wednesday. Hopefully it's as good as everyone is saying.

Does anybody else hate Neil Everett as a sportscenter anchor?

Oh boo. I've been digging it a lot. Now you've got me in the mood to listen to The Progress though, so thanks. I've been listening to a lot of Halfway to Holland lately. Have you heard them? It's the guys from Algernon Cadwallader.

I'm also loving the new Vampire Weekend.

The Town was pretty good, worth seeing for sure.
