Man Overboard and Vanna Full Set Videos

Full live sets from Man Overboard and Vanna can be seen here.

Alex DiVincenzo 12/04/10 08:01 AM

These are from Therefore I Am's last show. TIA's set should be up early next week.

I also filmed Man Overboard last night with H20, which will be up soon as well.

Yo, is there a way you guys would be able to post a video linking to my site? I filmed Transit's set in Cleveland/Kent the other night and it looks great. No offense to your videos, but the quality in filming of mine is much better. Check em out

Anyways, I'm not huge on how much Man Overboard changes their vocals because they're too high. Makes it sound pretty shitty live.

onetwentyseven 12/04/10 09:56 AM

Haven't seen Vanna life in close to 3 years, but holy hell are they tight.

cubsml34 12/04/10 10:11 AM

Sick set from Vanna

Soupy 12/04/10 10:46 AM

New Man O drummer sounds tight and Justin looks dreamy holding a guitar again.

Jaytothesyg 12/04/10 11:07 AM

So sweet! Man overboards set is kinda short though..I wish I was at this show

Both bands shortened their sets so TIA could have more time, since the show had to be over promptly at 10 (so the venue could open as a nightclub after).

coltenTALK 12/04/10 12:11 PM

Thanks for these, dude. I really appreciate it.

ur audio could use some improvement though : /....

I also hate the way they compensate not being able to reach the high notes. It sounds shitty

Rysker6 12/04/10 01:07 PM

Love MO, "Montrose" is my jam.

I was like 30 minutes, maybe 35.

shawnPLAGUES 12/04/10 01:41 PM

Love both bands. I was supposed to see Vanna on Wednesday, but they couldn't make it out because their trailer is broken :-(

I'm glad I got to see Therefore I Am at least once before their end, and with both Man Overboard and The Wonder Years at that.

Also, great videos Alex.

damn. alright. I don't know any of the other bands, even H2O (although I should listen to them) and I'm only going for MO. i was hoping they'd get a longer set. thanks! the videos look great.

screamoURI 12/04/10 02:17 PM

alex what kind of camera do you use to film shows? do you have any external mics?

iAMhollyood315 12/04/10 02:30 PM

he should just hook run a feed from the board into an mbox into a macbrook then bam good audio depending on how well they were mixed.

atrio 12/04/10 05:31 PM

Vanna killed it. MO sounded a little off, might have just been me though. Still kicked ass.

I know hahaha, it would seem like I would see them more frequently, but I don't really venture out to those kinds of shows anymore but I might have to check these guys out again next time they're back around.

brittolikewoah 12/04/10 11:15 PM

Man Overboard....thank god for some solid pop-punk. These guys are awesome.

Bazy0 12/05/10 03:23 AM

Vanna were tight

opana 12/05/10 10:05 AM

vanna is doing well these days

Same. I was so disappointed at how long they played for last night. I enjoyed all the bands, but I felt like MO played for a fraction of the time the other bands played. I can't wait to see them again on the 30th!

And to the DB who gave me what I think is a minor concussion during MO's set because he stage dived and knocked my head in a brick wall, I hate you.

I would do so many things to go to that show no the 30th best lineup ever

the crowd was really bad. did you see what happened with the fight? were you up front? i was up front, probably around second floor with the gray sweatshirt on it. with kind of a beard and brown hair. pretty tall. i apologize for your maybe minor concussion!

and i'm definitely going on the 30th.

therookielot 12/05/10 01:55 PM

Man Overboard is one of the best bands out there.

Panasonic PV-GS320. No external mic, which is why I love it. Obviously the picture quality isn't top notch (especially in low light), and I'd love to make the switch to an HD camera, but until I find one with audio as reliable as this bad boy, I can't bring myself to it.

If I had a couple extra thousand dollars, I would! But for now my $350 camera does the trick.

I was standing right by that fight. The funniest thing ever is that one of the guys involved was running the merch table for MO/Wisdom in Chains. I don't know which band he was with. I don't know if the other fellow was taken out. To just talk up MO even more, Nik was so nice! He saw the fight happening and after their last song finished out, he checked on the guys to make sure everyone was okay.

I couldn't believe the crowd. I've been to my fair of local shows and concerts. I've seen pits get out of hand, but I've NEVER seen a crowd like that before. I watched at least 3 guys be carried out unconscious. After MO, I found a safe spot by the MO merch table. I felt a little disoriented after meeting the brick wall.

i left after MO, cause they were the only band i knew. and yeah, i saw nik afterward shook his hand and told him they played a great set and he was really thankful. they're great guys. i think what happens (and why so many people got hurt) is cause you don't expect that stuff during a set like man overboard. i just wanted to sit there and enjoy the music, but by the end of the set, i was sitting in front always checking my back so i wouldn't take a fist to the back of the head cause i would've went down. i hope your head feels better. :)

MO was the only reason I went to the show, but I came away from it really enjoying Vision and H20. I didn't get a chance to officially meet Nik because I chickened out, but I overheard him talking to people and he was very gracious, which I love.

You're exactly right. I was not expecting that during Man Overboard. After I got through Vision's set safe, I thought I was in the clear for MO. I'm feeling better today, but I was terrified last night. I wasn't sure if I should sit through the show or head to the hospital....Needless to say, I finished out the show. Haha.

vision wasn't bad. but yeah, i thought it would've been a bad idea to stay around. i didn't really meet nik. i just saw hiim outside as i walked out, and just told him good job. i didn't really ask for a picture or anything. i don't think the crowd will be like that at all during the show on the 30th. did you see soupy? he was there.

EDIT: i don't think i met nik. i'm confused. i shook the hand of the singer who plays bass and wears glasses. i get all their names screwed up. i know justin used to play drums and now is one of the guitarists.

Nik plays bass and is the bigger singer. Zac is the skinnier one that wears glasses and plays guitar! But yeah they're all really nice and cool dudes

oh wow. i really fucked up. then, i'm thinking of zac. they shouldn't have three letter names. i get confused.

oh, p.s. dude. i'm going to that tigers jaw show if you're still going.

Hahaa dude when i saw them a couple months ago i thought the singers name was justin and the drummer was zac I was way screwed up and i called them all by the wrong name but they set me straight lol.

And yeah man I'm pretty sure I am! I just realized I have family that lives about an hour away from philly so that just worked out in my favor so well. I'm trying to make a second trip up there after the wonder years show for the fireworks show on the 30th and the swellers show on the 28th so i might just be all over the place in philly at the end of december haha

i'm not big on the swellers, so i'm not going to that show. but the two openers (everyone everywhere and bright and early) are fantastic. already bought my ticket for that fireworks show. it's going to be so good. fireworks, man overboard, balance and composure, and transit. i'm so stoked.
