This band, as of right now, is not good. There is minimal creativity in their debut, maximum repetition, every common trend (pop synth chorus mixed with screams, strict palm mute breakdowns) among bad bands are present. They are a mere rehash of everything the scene loves right now.

Heavy Brocore music

Yes alot of bands are doing it but IMO AA is basically the best ones doing it in general i just dont like when ppl are saying these guys suck when they arent a fan of any band apart of this trend atleast you had a reason for not liking them by saying they arent creative.i just find them to be incredible because i can relate to most they're lyrics and instrumentally what i like to hear

I understand what your saying. I never said they SUCK. I just do not find them musically appealing, therefore I chose not to listen. As you said, I have an explanation for my opinion as you have one for your own opinion. I simply don't understand the hype.

I'm a fan of MANY bands in this "genre," as you put it, and in no way is Asking Alexandria the best. They're not even the best from the UK. They're like the Limp Bizkit of the Metalcore era, but they don't even have a "Nookie" - guilty pleasure song. At least BMTH has "Diamonda Aren't Forever" and their whole new album.

These guys are definitely some of the biggest pieces of trash ever (both musically and personally) I honestly can't think of any band that deserves what they have less than them

Dude metalcore generated 10 years ago or so, AA sucks at what they do which is sad , just because you chug a guitar with the same 3 chords and play the sane breakdowns in every song does not mean you are talented. They put out one shitty album and thats all they accomplished, Now bands lke As i lay Dying, All that remains, It dies today, are the older brothers in that genre.

If a band is popular with the crowd, you have to provide the crowd with band's they like. Personally, I'd be enthralled to se TDWP, and ABR. AA not so much.

Haha i love this post ! I also dislike BMTH but at least they have a few decent songs and throw in some actual guitar leads unlike this joke called Asking Alexandria . Architects is one of the best right now in the U.K and i'm exited for the new FFAF album.

Seriously I hope they come up with some better guitar riffs and ideas than the ones on 'Stand Up and Scream'. I can easily just record some 101 chord breakdowns over a synth line, woop dee do, make $$$ because apparently that's all it takes these days. This is also amusing because I think they actually can write a few good songs (A Prophecy is actually pretty good), they just don't utilise their potential, at all.

Damn, give the guy a break. He expressed his opinion. You disagree, and you've all settled on what you don't like about this band. If you "want them to go away," don't write about it. Simple as that.

the songs like "A Prophecy" & "...Circus" is what i can relate to. and Not The American Average's "You stupid fucking whore" is rad.....i mean i recently got fucked over in a relationship so their music is what i like hearing its angry & says what im thinking out loud

Hate how untalented and popular this band is, really hope they're not at Warped

I'll admit that Stand Up and Scream is one my my biggest guilty pleasure albums. Most of the songs on the album are pretty underwhleming, but when I'm pissed off its a good record to rock out too. A Prophecy is an awesome song though.

I don't care what anyone says. This is one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite. Let people like what they want.

Yea something is very wrong with the music world these days, and sadly they might be there this next year along with Justin Bieber , i really wouldnt put it past Kevin Lyman , ive lost all respect for that guy in the music department.

It's maybe a good record to rock out to if you are drunk off your ass lol. I just cant stand how the lyrics make them seem like whiny pansies that cant suck it up when it aint going to well with the ladies while trying to sound hard .I mean with lyrics like "Oh my god " Oh my fucking god in the entire song is just terrible.
