Awhile ago Fox ordered a pilot for the new J.J. Abrams/Bad Robot (including Elizabeth Sarnoff) mystery/drama Alcatraz . Looks like it could be an interesting pairing with Fringe assuming that Fox decides to keep that series and pick this one up as well.

The show has already got Jorge Garcia (LOST) and Sarah Jones (Sons of Anarchy) on board.

I was excited when the news first came out, then even more excited when they released that brief synopsis and announced that Jorge was involved. He will play Dr. Diego Soto, a "hippy geek" who is "the world's foremost expert on Alcatraz.”

I believe Jorge is playing one of the island's doctors and Zap2It has this listed for Sarah Jones character.

I feel like this show could be really great. I'm definitely excited to hear some more details and casting news, etc. I'm totally on board if it's picked up.
