I would definitely pay to see this. As much as people hate Green Day, their musical was really well done.

I think the Decemberists were meant to be heard in a musical format.

The Hazards of Love would make a great spectacle on stage.

It makes a lot more sense for the Decemberists to have a musical, than Green Day.

Great news. This will rule

This makes perfect sense. There is potential for this to be a really good show.

because it went so well for Green Day?

Awe. Some.

think this would translate well to the stage, i'm just afraid that this is going to create a huge surge of shitty bands that follow along and try to create musicals. not all music can translate to broadway

Yeah, because THAT musical is doing so well. As much as I love the Decemberists, I'm not sure about this being successful.

Basically this same story came up when Spring Awakening debuted and was wildly successful. I was super pumped but then never heard anything about it again. Hopefully this means something will actually come of it. That was several years ago now.

See, now this isn't a bad idea and could possibly be good.
