i hate this band. guess i'll give it a chance to be somewhat fair but i expect so many negative words haha

stand up and scream got me into metalcore. the ep they released opened my eyes at how talented this band is. who doesn't love some skid row!?? the two songs i've heard so far from the new album show a matured band trying to progress. granted that's only two songs lol i could be wrong.

I think Breathless is the best song they've released so far, so I'm interested in the album

I feel like other bands are following this "you cannot kill us because we are awesome" thing (hence the album title). It's really annoying because the bands usually suck.

As much as I did enjoy their debut they should really not say that ever again. Not only have tons of bands been saying that lately but AA said it repeatedly over multiple tracks ! Also, mentions of "water getting higher" or it "getting harder to breathe" never need to be used again in music in general.

I was just a cover EP while introducing the opening song of their upcoming album But yeah, even though I like them quite a bit I could have done without that EP. The remixes were forgettable (and will be released on the upcoming remix CD), I already had the demo, "Breathless" will be on their next CD, and I hate classic rock/punk......and the artwork was lame.

it's still progression and maturity so i don't quite see your point. either way the new single "morte et dabo" is being released feb 15th. and i could care less if they progress much at all bc i love stand up and scream.

I'm gonna ignore that I hate this band and ask an honest question.

Considering you're 24, where the hell where you when Frail Words Collapse came out? I would've been stoked to be 16 or 17 when that came out. Honestly this time is probably one of the worst times for metalcore bands, aside from Parkway Drive and new AILD/Underoath material.

I listen to many bands that don't rip off other bands, and who have musical integrity.

You're kind of lucky; there's a whole world of great metalcore/hardcore bands out there that would be fun to hear for the first time.

Sturgis is definitely a much better producer; he's done much to perfect on his sound. While I do like some of the effects Mizell uses he hasn't done much to improve his productions in the last couple of years. As well, it really irritates me that he reuses sound effects that should be unique to one record by one band. (Ex: the "CHING!" sound effect on 2 Woe, Is Me songs and on one Bullet For Pretty Boy's new CD, the "chime" on Lion Skin by Hands Like Houses and Jamie's Elsewhere's Antithesis). The reason I mainly follow him is because he consistently attracts the attention of bands that I love and when he collobarates with Sturgis (like on W,IM) it sounds awesome.
