another thought. go re-read your first sentence. how dumb it to ask "are they serious?" about a free ipod app? like twitter, facebook, etc, its just another way to connect with current/potential fan-bases. i could see a valid complaint if they actually charged for the app, but its essentially a mobile version of their website. another thought. your changing positions. originally, u said u were being sarcastic. now u admit that your post was a diss. make up your mind. my main point is that your original post was just plain stupid and served no purpose. next time, base your diss off a legit argument. |

They're way too behind on the "social bandwagon" to even warrant a chance to drive into the social media waters. And it all comes full circle back to their music. THEY'RE NOT CURRENTLY DOING ANYTHING WORTH NOTING, so a FREE app makes no sense. Generates no revenue and is currently doing nothing to further their careers. I could see the value if they were releasing an app as a viral campaign that included music, videos, "behind-the-scenes" type information to spread awareness to an upcoming album (and charged $0.99), but let's all be realistic.. this band is dead and couldn't do ANYTHING to revive it. Was that enough of a legit argument? Or shall I continue on, fine sir? Another thought, "you're" is the correct word that you're looking for. I'm not changing opinions at all. At first, yeah, it was sarcasm.. but after your little response, it turned into whatever else it could have meant (a diss? Oh no!). I'm entitled to an opinion, and unfortunately for you, my opinion coincides with a vast majority of AP users, internet users, and living organisms.. GC is just done. |

and btw, its really cool to call people out on their grammar. whoops, i didnt capitalize the first word of my sentences, or use proper contractions. my bad |

Please get me the demographics of all that go to the shows. I believe parents escorting their 13 year old daughters shouldn't be included, nor those daughters. This pathetic excuse for a band doesn't make music because they love to anymore, they do it for a paycheck.. and you can tell this by the degradation of their sound over the years. They're not relevant anymore, and haven't been since 03' when they still sort of, kind of, were after the release of Lifestyles. |
i did re-read what you typed. quote: "I could see the value if they were releasing an app as a viral campaign that included music, videos, "behind-the-scenes" type information to spread awareness to an upcoming album (and charged $0.99)"
they are doing all of that, minus the charge. and why do the demographics matter? the people that go to their concerts are dedicated fans. im pretty sure bieber has some of the same demographic. do we disregard them? does that mean he isnt popular? no. people go to shows because they want to. im sorry if we are not all you, but people have their own interests. let it go and let people enjoy what ever music they want. and if your argument is about being relevant, lets go back to bieber. i think we can agree that he is very relevant right now. does that make his music good? judging by your attitude, it wouldnt surprise me if you thought so. but i disagree. look, u dont like the band anymore. thats great. some people still do. and those that do, dont like your (proper form) negativity. it just isnt needed. peace |
