Awesome recs this week, staff. Head and the Heart is one of my favorite local bands, I'm really happy that they're getting some exposure from SXSW. Love Black Milk too.

I'm really loving this song. Do they have an album out or anything? The only thing that I'm gathering is that they're no longer a band anymore, but when I downloaded the song it says that it's track 2 on "Intention Redemption."

(Oh, and the drums sound absolutely terrible. I want to know who heard how those drums were mixed and said, "yep, this sounds great." It's still a great song though.)

Haha there's no comparison for me. Slowreader's self-titled is one of my favourite albums of all time.

Did they really? That'd be pretty amazing if they did; such a talented band.

Well, in addition to playing at SXSW, they're slated for a Sasquatch set in May, so if that doesn't get them out there I don't know what will.

Also, I fucking love this:

Haha yeah, I love that too. Posted that in my thread (which I linked to). Great performance!

I've been trying to promote them a bunch the past few months. Hopefully it pays off.

I agree, very glad you enjoy. "Wolf Pack" has become my favourite the past day or so (it changes frequently). The sun suits the sound of that song I think, I also haven't stopped spinning the secret track "Somebody Else's Child" on my vinyl copy. Sounds so lush.

Bought their single and tickets to a show based off of that video. Thanks!

I bought it off amazon mp3 for £3.99 and it included 'Somebody Else's Child'. Great track, but I thought it was out of place on the album. Now that I know that it was supposed to be a secret track, it makes a bit more sense. Thoroughly enjoyable album start to finish. I can see them getting huge this year.
