Vonnegutt Find Their Love

Vonnegutt will release $Free.99 on May 23. The mixtape features collaborations with Big Boi, Will Pugh (of Cartel), Cutty Cartel, Aleon Craft, Sugar Tongue Slim, Tony Williams, Shannel, Andy Hull (of Manchester Orchestra), Cassadee Pope (of Hey Monday) and many more. The album's first video/song for free download can be found on the band's site. It's a re-working of Drake's "Find Your Love" featuring Will Pugh (of Cartel) & Outasight.

Some very interesting collabs here.

irthesteve 04/20/11 02:31 PM

Not a good song. At all. I feel bad for Will here :-/

Modern Leper 04/20/11 02:38 PM

Even if this was good I'd still hate them for the name. If you want to reference the god of literature, do so with class. See: The Cosmic Drama.

DCART 04/20/11 02:38 PM

ugh that was bad. will looked so awkward.

I kind of agree... but at the same time I thought he was the only cool part about this. Especially in the video. The other dudes are strollin' around with all sorts of fake, hip-hop swagger while he's just there being genuinely cool. I guess what I'm trying to say is, without Will this video would have been 100% awkward instead of just 85%.

I can get down with that. I also don't really like the vocal effect they put on his voice

*dannyg* 04/20/11 02:45 PM

at least its real rap & real music. shit on the radio isnt... kyle lucas (the rapper for vonnegutt) works EXTREMELY hard. its not my favorite thing in the world by any means, but as far as rap goes these days, its not bad

invincibleXL 04/20/11 02:45 PM

the "whitest" sounding song i've heard in a while

Oh, don't get me wrong... it's horrible. I guess I just expected Will Pugh to be the most awkward part about this, but relative to the other guys, his part was okay.

NarcolepsySmile 04/20/11 03:36 PM

I think it's fun/funny. Liked it.

Totally. And the video doesn't help much either.

I'm a fan of hip hop when it's done well. This is pretty tacky and definitely lacks character.

This. But Outasight is actually pretty good when he's by himself.

Numero10 04/20/11 05:02 PM

Not really a fan. Will suits this music though.

tossit 04/20/11 05:26 PM

Will looked so out of place in that video hahaha

Blaise&Panthia. 04/20/11 05:53 PM

dude has the most irritating facial expressions when he raps like he's spitting Confucian wisdom instead of weak metaphors

Gumbyjag 04/20/11 07:24 PM

i'll admit i enjoyed the cover. but the video was kind of cheesy.

brook183 04/20/11 10:34 PM

i love this guy's part on the Sir Lucious Left Foot track

dru 04/20/11 11:39 PM

this is fresh. never have seen outasight without sunglasses haha. like how they re-worked this, especially the music.

except will was BY FAR the worst part of this. the rapping isn't that bad, and vonnegutt had a nice appearance on one of my favorite albums in 2010. without will's terrible ass hook and corny ass video acting, this might have been exponentially better. still not saying much, though.

you're not listening to the right rap.

i said on the radio. the shit on the mainstream radio is AWFUL. theres tons of it that i listen to thats redeemable... The Cool Kids, Little Brother, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Childish Gambino, Blackalicious, etc. But none of them are on mainstream radio either

Domenic182 04/21/11 05:27 AM

The chorus to Big Boi's "Follow Us" is by far the worst part of that album. Can't stand Vonnegutt.

Mario57 04/21/11 10:09 AM

They have like one good track but i can't stand anything they put out since...
