I'm not really sure what the reason for them not playing it was...something about the drummer not being able to play it or something like that. Either way, the concert was fucking unreal. I've never seen a room more excited to see a band before in my life.

This is exactly what I was thinking! I remember putting in the Kubler-Ross graph in the BN thread a couple of months ago, it makes perfect sense now if they're trying to write something happy.

i hate to say "fuck being happy" but some people write the best stuff pissed off. just like when some bands start to sober up then immediately start sucking.

The setlist is mostly Deja and TDAGARIM songs, which makes perfect sense. It's Brand New at their very best.

I think I am more excited for another tour. Jesse Lacey is a weird cat which makes me kind of nervous of his definition of "happy".

I think the daisy songs don't translate well live, at least in videos. I am yet to witness brand new live since I moved here from brazil not too long ago, but I'd hope their set is filled with Deja and some of the better songs from devil and god, I also wish they'd play some demos like untitled one

It's really sad how fucking happy the existence of this thread alone makes me. Goddamn I need to see Brand New live. And if/when they come around, I hope they keep that setlist...it's perfect.

At the risk of sounding like a jack-hole... I hated Daisy. I missed that perfect band that shaped my life so much in the years of YFW, Deja and even for a lot of DAGARIM. This is some of the most exciting news I've heard from a band that used to sit firmly in my top three.
