Great music video for a great song. It really boggles my mind that they get so much hate. They are probably some of the best song writers and most talented musicians in the industry today.

Really awesome video

great video, really sad....RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan

Really awesome tribute to The Rev. Very heartfelt. I agree with the one comment above. These guys are some of the best musicians in the industry today, and all the hate boggles my mind as well. They're without a doubt more talented than most of the bands people rave about on here...

This I agree it is hard to defend is voclas sometimes. But yet at the same time he has some really great high points. His clean vocals on Waking The Fallen were great.

partylikeaZEBRA 05/10/11 12:53 PM

that is so sad.

I agree he has standout moments on every album but overall I can see how the vocals can deter some people from liking the band..... IMO he is like a Vince Niel from Motley Crue..... not the best singer/can hold the band back but you cannot replace them and still have the same band

I think Shadows is better than Vince Neil IMO. Like I think Shadows has more standout moments than Vince ever has well to me atleast. The only album I had a problem with Shadows voice was on City Of Evil.

I wasnt comparing vocal talent..... just like the REV is missed from the band... im sure we will find that out when they record a new album....if you were to replace Shadows with a better vocal talent (Neil/Corabi) A7X would lose another key part of the band... even Shadows is not the best singer you couldnt have A7X w/o Shadows

Ollie McKraut 05/10/11 01:45 PM

If charlie kelly's a fan, that's good enough for me

The Rev and Shadows are the two most improtant members to this band. If something happned to Shadows now you know they would be done for good.

Sara7x 05/10/11 02:04 PM

Loved it. RIP Jimmy, you're dearly missed.

Raarzipan 05/10/11 02:06 PM

I'm not a fan of what this band has become. Was a HUGE fan of the band up until the S/T. I even liked City of Evil but anyone who says this isn't a great tribute video and song is lying. The band shows they are more then just a band unlike most of these drama filled bands nowadays. Great to see guys who really are friends making music.

suicidalmoose 05/10/11 02:17 PM

good song and great video. and really sad too

true and Synyster too

Mikey18244 05/10/11 02:38 PM

From the guitar solo to the end of the song it really hit me hard,I couldn't imagine the pain of loosing a best friend.

WordsAndFears 05/10/11 04:06 PM

This video broke my heart. What a wonderful video for an amazing song. I can only imagine the pain they are still going through. I give them tons of credit for getting back out on the road. RIP The Rev

Syn as well. The man is fucking talented and is always trying to out do hisself.

rushour144 05/10/11 05:42 PM

No offense at all, I have the utmost respect for The Rev. but havent A7X made like a BILLION tribute videos to him?!?! I mean it would suck to be there new drummer because they have been dwelling on The Rev.'s death for over a year!

bojl 05/10/11 05:59 PM

personally, i hate on avenged sevenfold cause i think their music is bad, not cause i hate their image.

Emmure408 05/10/11 06:17 PM

damn, Matt can sing his ass off. the Jonny Craig of metal :headbang:

2 tribute videos. Once right after his death, and this one.

I think Matt is an incredible vocalist. He kills it live too. One of the best front men out there. Their CoE image was over the top, but now they even say they shudder at the things they used to wear haha

Oh my bad, I thought there was a lot more, sorry! Still kinda sucks for Aron, their new drummer.

haha yup! I'm sure there are countless fan ones, but A7X has officially put out 2 (well 3 if you count Nightmare, but eh). It sucks because Arin has such big shoes to fill, not only behind the kit but in the hearts of all the fans, but he's getting the job done!

SurfSkittles16 05/10/11 09:02 PM

Syn wrote such a touching song! Love the video for this. You can tell it really means alot to them. RIP Jimmy!

Whoops Arin, my bad! Yea for sure. I am a die hard OLD Confide fan, not an A7X fan, that is why I am giving this band a chance again. But I have massive respect for The Rev.

fair enough! He's an amazing drummer! I've been an A7X fan since '04 (as cliche as that sounds to be a fan before they were big) haha but I saw Arin's first show with A7X last January and he killed it. I wonder how the dudes in Confide feel about all this lol

tefarez 05/11/11 01:37 PM

For sure. I liked their albums up until City of Evil. That was their last good album IMO.

I would like to hear what the Confide dudes are saying about this. Arin left when the band was still good haha!

I think their self-titled album was what really set them apart, with all the different genre and sound influences. Plus nobody out there writes music like "A Little Piece of Heaven" which is a ridiculously good piece of music. I thought Nightmare was a great record too. IMO Waking the Fallen and City of Evil are their two best, but their musicianship on the s/t and Nightmare is still incredible.
