Mark Hoppus says that we should be able to hear two new Blink-182 songs in about two weeks according to his post on his tumblr today.

Anyone else find it strange they're releasing TWO songs? Also, not that I'm complaining cause I love blink but it cracks me up that no other band covered on this site would get these news posts.

You can't blame them, though. This album had four different scheduled release dates up until now.

Off the top of my head: NFG, FOB, TGA, Yellowcard, Starting Line, Thrice, Brand New, MO, Underoath, anyone on Crush, FBR, DTR, Epitaph, Hopeless ... would get a post about them releasing a single (or 2) in a few weeks.

Albums get pushed back all the time due to label or artist related issues.

Sorry I should have clarified....here lately blinks been getting a number of "news announcing future news" type posts. But like I said I'm not complaining everyones excited about it as am I so I have no problemo with with the news

It wasn't as official as this, but the band had promised "summer of '09, new music!" then it became spring of 2010, summer 2010, spring 2011, and now here we are.

I'm not hating on them or anything at all, because I'm absolutely stoked. But in a sense I can see why someone would say "Oh, here we go again," but at the same time, they've never given a deadline or anything big like this.
