I dont have a record player :/ ...good deal for fans though!

Tim McCall 08/02/11 01:15 PM

Has anyone heard this? Is this worth the trouble tomorrow?

Thomas Nassiff 08/02/11 01:42 PM

Wondering if it's even worth $14. Never heard the band.

Same here. I'm a huuuge gla fanboy but never took the time to check out previous bands. Should I?

This site has some nice exclusives.

...if only they could get the One For The Kids issue settled.

duckingfyslexic 08/02/11 02:06 PM

It's on itunes. Reminds me of Sink or Swim.

trolland10 08/02/11 02:16 PM

definitely getting this. but i wish they'd put up surrogate Mackenzie, those records are great, and so raw

good stuff for early material from brian. very curious to hear those unreleased tracks.

This album is really awesome. I originally heard about this quite a few years ago through XOXO Records before Gaslight was around. Brian posted a link for his band on the old Eyeball Records forum. Their purevolume page is still around, too...

I have the CD, and I actually like this album quite a bit. Brian's voice sounds different (though not necessarily in a bad way), and it's a pretty good punk album. Will hopefully be getting one of these. Also, "She Coulda Raised the Titanic" on their Purevolume page is an early version of Gaslight's "1930" that fans should check out.

This is a great EP, I just heard it for the first time a few months ago. Might pick it up.

The Gaslight Anthem (and its related bands) get too much coverage on this site, IMO.

Huh? Do you know me? I listen to music of all genres and I think TGA is a good band but there are too many news posts for them. It's a huge scene but thus site tends to focus too often on a small pool of bands that already have a good following.

I found them and a collection of all of the member's previous bands on a forum somewhere. Wish I could remember it but all I remember was it took a few google searches.

Ponyboy 08/03/11 09:04 AM

Was able to get 2 black and 1 brown. :)

zachff 08/03/11 09:13 AM

Got the black vinyl. Sweet.

ellie117 08/03/11 10:19 AM

Got one of each - can't get enough of Fallon's voice, especially on vinyl.
