Dustin Brown should be plan A for the Rangers. They'd probably lose Erixon and McDonagh or MDZ in the process, but the guy makes next to nothing. And they can still go for Parise in the offseason.

I don't care much for parise, there's never been real indication of an interest in NY (compared to let's say Minnesota). Brown wouldn't work in NY and is not worth anyone on the blueline.
