Mayday Parade 2011 Fall TourMAYDAY PARADE CONFIRMS NATIONWIDE FALL HEADLINING TOUR IN SUPPORT OF SELF-TITLED ALBUM OCTOBER 4 - AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER NOW

Mayday Parade has just confirmed a nationwide headlining tour in support of their highly-anticipated third full-length album, the eponymous Mayday Parade, out October 4 but available to preorder on Amazon NOW.

The Noise Tour powered by Journeys, kicks off October 13 on the East Coast, and features support from We Are The In Crowd, There For Tomorrow, You Me At Six and The Make. In anticipation of their new release, the band unveiled the new single, "Oh Well, Oh Well" via Alternative Press, and garnered praise from MTV's Buzzworthy Blog, stating "unlike other pop punk groups, Mayday Parade takes a more holistic approach to songwriting, an approach clearly at the foreground of their new group-penned single, 'Oh Well, Oh Well.'" The song is available to purchase on iTunes.

Co-produced by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, Mayday Parade marks a return to their songwriting roots; the entire album was self-written in a collaborative effort by the five band mates. The 12-song collection transpired through careful introspection and it echoes the musicians' maturation over the two years since their second album, Anywhere But Here. The band chose to pen each of the songs themselves, making the album perhaps their most personal to date, complete with relatable lyrics and their undeniable charm.

Mayday Parade first burst onto the scene with their 2007 debut A Lesson in Romantics which received immense praise from critics and fans alike. AbsolutePunk claimed it was sure to become "one of your most played [albums] of the summer." It went on to sell more than 170,000 copies and reached the Top Ten on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Mayday Parade is vocalist/piano Derek Sanders, bassist Jeremy Lezno, guitarists Alex Garcia and Brooks Betts and drummer/vocalist Jake Bundrick.

Might as well go to the Tallahassee date! One of the only decent bands that ever stops by, haha.

PurpleDinosaurs 08/23/11 02:01 PM

And for the third straight tour they completely ignore Western NY.

Dear Bands,

There is more to NY then NYC. Buffalo or Rochester, Hell I'll even take Syracuse. I cannot make a 7 hour drive to Farmingdale after the show is over, I will fall asleep crash and die. No I can't afford a hotel either. I don't want to hear any of that "it's a smaller market" bullshit, if it's big enough for Yellowcard to headline, its bigger enough for you

hiya 08/23/11 02:03 PM

Great lineup, will be at the donkey date. Excited to see YMAS again.
