This is the track listing Rise Records has on their webstore for this album. I don't see this song on it?

2. Long Lost Friends
3. Listen And Forgive
4. No Such Thing
5. Asleep At The Wheel
6. Cutting Corners
7. Skipping Stone
8. I Think I Know You
9. Don't Make A Sound
10. 1978
11. Over Your Head
12. The Answer Comes In Time

I love Joe B. I love transit. This record will be huge. Mark these words. For everyone who doesn't agree listen to it again.

No, how is the music he is making now either of those things? You sound pretty 'pretentious' yourself. Let's take a moment away from this awesome new song by Transit. Why would Patrick create music by himself, recording everything by scratch and producing it, doing interviews and supporting it non-stop and even do a solo thing in the first place if he wasn't sincere? People don't work that hard to be ironic.

Patrick has changed as an artist. He's always loved the music he's emulating dice he was a kid, before he was in hardcore bands and FOB. Now if he was making pop-punk again, that would be a lot more insincere because he's made it clear that he's evolved in a new direction. He's the guy who has produced for Cobra Starship, the Cab and Lupe Fiasco among others. He's the guy who grew up on Prince and MJ. He always has been. His solo stuff is where he really gets to show this side that had been creeping into Fall Out Boy starting with IOH. It's not fake. It's just a side you don't know as well. /endfanboyrant

So yeah, this song is pretty awesome. The album is definitely on my watch list.

Great, it's one of those guys hahaha! Dude, this conversation was started long before you came in. I, in fact, was not the one who came up with the hipster term... but by you denying Patrick is a hipster is quite ignorant. That is just a plain fact haha!

And by pretentious, I just mean it doesn't feel real. I feel he is trying WAY too hard to release something that comes out as not true to him, even if he did grow up listening to MJ and prince. I grew up listening to bands like The Who, The Clash, and MJ... am I going to go and make some sort of mix of all 3, nope! But again, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!

I still have respect for the dude, and know his background in hardcore bands (hence why I mentioned that in earlier posts).

Again (as I mentioned in other posts :), I never meant this comment to take away from the praise of Transit... AND Patrick, on this incredible song! I just merely was saying that this sound Patrick is doing suits him WAY more than his solo project. Contrived may have been a better word than pretentious :)

Patrick ... hipster? Fact ... ??? Hahahaha.

As probably the only person in this thread that's spoken to the man at any length ... this is just fucking hilarious.

Yea track #4 is this song. Go to amazonmp3 and look for the album.

You can only get track 12 if you order the PHYSICAL copy BTW. It isn't on the digital albums.

Looks can be deceiving I guess hahahaha! I just like playing around.

Let's end this nonsense cause we all seem to love Patrick AND Transit. I am just making things way more difficult then they should be :)

seimagery 09/20/11 10:54 AM

Cliche to say...but this song spoke to me. Haha.

Album is gonna be so good, I have already listened to the songs that have been shown tons of times. I can't wait to rock this album driving in crisp Fall days, a good bridge album from summer to winter...I guess I always associate music and albums with a visual image of the season and such...

songs okay. that said, Patrick fucking slays. God I love his voice. I wish he'd do something in this vein again

I had never heard a Transit song and I love this one.

xrider105 09/26/11 06:42 PM

First I'm hearing of this band and I love it. I'm definitely gonna get this album. Especially if it sounds more like this song.
