Album Details
Release Date: 12/31/2025

...only have to wait a few years:-D

DivisionStreet 07/10/07 11:04 PM

I have to admit that The Starting Line's cover of "I'm Real" from a few years back is a hell of a guilty pleasure.

neo506 07/10/07 11:07 PM

Cant wait to see wait NFG and Say Anything cover

vandalroyale 07/10/07 11:12 PM

very interesting

irthesteve 07/10/07 11:19 PM

i hope we get a real tracklisting soon. i am honestly pretty excited for this, it looks like it may be the Punk Goes Hip-Hop that sadly never got around to being made

Nowisnotthetime 07/10/07 11:19 PM

Immortal has to be one of the worst labels out there and this is just another example of them trying to make a quick buck. What is the artistic value in something like this? Cursive do a rap song all the time on tour but it's a nice little joke in the middle of their set, not a fucking commercially released compilation. Shame on Immortal for pulling a Fearless and putting out this trash and shame on the bands who agreed to do it.

shame? what're you their grandma? shut up.

GeekChicOhio 07/10/07 11:26 PM

A few weeks back I got the opportunity to hear Just Surrender's cover of "SexyBack" for this comp.
Get ready kids, this thing is gonna be awesome.

i12punk 07/10/07 11:55 PM

They're selling a 6-song EP version of this now on Warped Tour. So anyone who goes, check it out at the Immortal Records tent.

What's on it?

Clark 07/11/07 12:12 AM

Numerous sites (Overstock, Amazon, Best Buy) say the release date is July 24 instead of August 7.

bobby runs 07/11/07 12:23 AM

whats the damn tracklisting????????

MasonR5 07/11/07 12:26 AM

yeah, what is on the EP?

After Hours 07/11/07 12:38 AM

iiinteresting.

candleguy1142 07/11/07 12:48 AM

tsl and nfg!

Vismund_Cygnus 07/11/07 01:04 AM

Hmm, I'll have to wait to see how this going to sound...

...kinda skeptical right now.

spotcollins 07/11/07 01:32 AM

didn't they do a long-island vs. rap comp a while back with like H20's Ice Cube song and The Movielife covering LL Cool J? I don't imagine there being a demand for mooore rap covers, especially considering that most of those bands in the rumored tracklisting sound the exact same to me when they play their original music, but I think it'll be Person L doing the Roots cover instead of the Starting Line, yeah?

I know The Maine's cover of Akon's I Just Wanna Love You or whatever its called is on it.

also.... i find this comedic. everyone knows Punk Goes belongs to Fearless, now immortal is jockin their left overs.
even if they aren't calling it Punk Goes everyone knows they're still copying Fearless

Yes. And? 07/11/07 02:37 AM

Interesting track listing.

For a second I thought that was the real tracklisteing.
:shudder:

broken_glass 07/11/07 03:21 AM

I wasn't too sure about this but at least there are a few bands I like on here, so it might be worth checking out.

WhiteLies. 07/11/07 03:56 AM

Definitely interested in this for the All Time Low & Say Anything covers.

Rock 07/11/07 05:52 AM

i'm pumped for this.

NoseOverTail 07/11/07 05:56 AM

Definitely could be sweet.

tm decomposer 07/11/07 06:28 AM

All I know is The Maine is covering I want to love you by Akon.

Maybe they decided that signing Brazil was such a good idea they'd keep up the trend?

hailthewarrior 07/11/07 08:52 AM

should be interesting.

Because it is?

calciumwaste 07/11/07 09:29 AM

My American Heart is covering California Love by 2pac.

i'm excited for this cd. i like covers that are funny. Punk Goes Pop > Punk Goes 90s.

nerdvglc 07/11/07 10:10 AM

i am now taking immortal records off of my fav labels...this is fucking stupid.

did you send out a press release yet?

GiggsOho 07/11/07 10:41 AM

I would be more inclined to buy an album of Snoop Dogg covering pop-punk songs. You'd buy it...

Chevy114 07/11/07 10:41 AM

This should be fun.

DivisionStreet 07/11/07 10:46 AM

Does anyone here remember those "Before They Were Punk" compilations from the late 90s? They had a bunch of current (at the time) punk bands doing New Wave covers. I believe Blink 182's version of "Dancing with Myself" was on one of them.

newfoundmichael 07/11/07 10:51 AM

I'm pumped for this...didn't Throwdown or someone do a cover of that "Milkshake" song? I guess that isn't considered punk though.

dat scene kid 07/11/07 10:59 AM

I don't know why everyone is getting all up in arms about this...

I think its awesome, if not simply hilarious...don't tell me that TSL's "I'm Real" cover wasn't hysterical...(and the Seed is one of my favorite songs so it'll be ill to see what they do with that)

If Immortal simply wants to make money, then i tip my hat to them, bc this is smart and I'm excited

Plus its fun..so all the haters, lighten up

"Before You Were Punk 1&2" are really great... but urrghhh I don't like the idea of this kinda Punk Goes HipHop... at least they used the name indie instead of punk.

SKooT 07/11/07 11:13 AM

I know it's been asked a few times... but can we get the tracklist for the EP they're rupposedly givcing out at Warped? (...or can someone OiNK it? :D)

That was Goodnight Nurse or something.

Also, I think TSL song might be The Roots cover that was originally reported as a Person L track, but I dunno.

i saw them play golddigger months ago, and they said it would be on a punk goes rap comp... i expected it to be on fearless tho
