Wasn't for me, but I can admire her passion.

Also, waiting for Casey to come in and bash Jason for giving Ke$ha credit. Then the real lulz will begin.

"Casey" "lulz"

kidinthebushes 12/13/11 01:37 PM

She has an awful voice. Period.

This is actually quite good. I've moderately enjoyed some of her stuff, but didn't think she'd do this solid a job straight-singing. It's a bit affected, but I'm not sure anyone else has ever done a version that emphasizes the dramatic potential of the song this well. It usually gets read as a sarcastic kiss-off. Both takes are cool.

Have a suspicion half the people in this thread didn't listen.

lmao

oh no it looks like RON SWANSON doesn't approve!

lol!

This is actually the most genuinely funny post of this thread. Glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoyed this.

She took a real risk and a big step out of her comfort zone and I think it came out great, all things considered.

would like to see the responses if it was just audio without an artist label. drastically different, I suppose

anyway will be enjoying the gifs

Not gonna read the rest of the comments and just agree with this

I enjoy Ke$ha and her music, no matter how bad some people may think it is

EDIT: I take back my first line...the comments were just a bunch of highly hilarious gifs

It's that time in the thread when a few people start claiming to "actually like this" and that it's "pretty good" ... this is then followed by the "Band X that AP.net has posted about in the past sucks worse" -- this is my favorite part!!

I don't feel that way at all, but I do feel as though this was an effective interpretation of a classic tune by an artist who could've very easily just made it another glitter vomit club jam and didn't.

I do not like Ke$ha's... well anything, really. But this is a decent cover that shows she is more capable than weve been led to believe. If this was under a different name, the hate would be so drastically less present.

You said in the body of the post itself that it was here solely to "anger" listeners and to be torn apart by gifs and whatnot. Perpetuating that kind mindset can't be good for anything.
