This band is Hopeless.

kidinthebushes 12/15/11 10:23 AM

Hopeless is now my favorite label. I hope this isn't bad like their last 2 albums.

Jason Tate 12/15/11 10:27 AM

Vulnerable is the perfect title for this album... as I believed it was going to come out in Feb. Lets the pushbacks begin... so you in 2013 album.

elmakias 12/15/11 10:33 AM

heard two songs somewhere along the way, one was badass, one sounds like a DJ set.

Mattylikesfilms 12/15/11 10:38 AM

You would think Hopeless would make a bigger announcement? A video? Something?

Full Effect Ed 12/15/11 10:39 AM

Source on that date?

irthesteve 12/15/11 10:40 AM

I know this band gets shit on alot, but their last album was a pretty solid batch of dirty/grungy pop songs, and I dug it.

I thought Artwork was their best album since their debut

t.web4 12/15/11 10:44 AM

Other than Lies for the Liars I actually like this band. Excited for this but kind of suprised that it's being released on Hopeless. Good addition to an already solid label.

mikeisonfire 12/15/11 10:45 AM

I thought they said they were going to release the new album themselves on their own label. Dental Records, was it not?

Ron57 12/15/11 10:46 AM

Artwork sucked. Hoping for something better.

^This. They really were one of the biggest names in the genre, stop hatin'. They're better than 3/4 of the bands out there.

axel182 12/15/11 10:57 AM

I Can't say their last albums were as great as their debut and second album but still i can always find 5-6 songs in each album that i like! And with music today that is a BIG DEAL! Even their B-sides album was awwesome!!!

brandon_260 12/15/11 10:58 AM

Love this band. Always have. Can not wait for this. Great partnership IMO. Hopeless is doing huge things.

Hopeless is mostly handling distribution and marketing for the album.

Playsw/Squirels 12/15/11 11:04 AM

I think Im the only person who loved Lies For The Liars haha only album i didnt care for was Artwork. Luckily they went back to Feldmann for this one and I'm fuckin pumped to hear new stuff. I have a feeling its gonna be good.

iAMhollyood315 12/15/11 11:09 AM

this better not sound like shit!

One of the few albums he worked on that I didnt like. Luckily they went back to Feldmann (whos done all their other releases) for this one and I'm fuckin pumped to hear new stuff. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Matt Squire produced Artwork.

jusscali 12/15/11 11:15 AM

I'll listen.

Spencer Control 12/15/11 11:19 AM

When this band isn't lame, they're pretty cool. Another potentially solid signing by Hopeless, they've been doing really well recently.

Squire produced that one, Avron mixed it

Yea my bad. thanks for the correction

jdr277 12/15/11 11:49 AM

Honestly even though Artwork wasn't their best, they still have a pretty solid discography. Even that album had some decent tracks and I believe they can still produce a great new album. In Love & Death is my personal favorite.

Exactly my thoughts

Bert explains the sound of the album in the Alt Press interview: http://www.altpress.com/features/ent...iew_hopel ess

:)

rocknroll365 12/15/11 12:05 PM

looking foward to hearing some new tunes from these guys. have been a fan since the start. always have several good songs on a record. in love and death is by far the best thus far tho.

Miketheunicycle 12/15/11 12:14 PM

im excited to hear how this turns out

SuNDaYSTaR 12/15/11 12:21 PM

I didn't even know they weren't on Reprise anymore.

mms13 12/15/11 12:52 PM

Didn't like Artwork but enjoyed all their others...I'll pick this up

saintnumberfive 12/15/11 12:56 PM

I think In Love And Death and Shallow Believer (the digital b-side album) were the best they've done, but I love this band and generally like all their stuff a lot. In excited for this album.

deezee 12/15/11 12:56 PM

All I remember about Artwork is it has some of the worst artwork to ever grace an album cover.

marsvoltamcr 12/15/11 01:01 PM

never was a fan of this band. I saw them open for blink in 2004 and Bert was flopping around stage and his vocals sounded horrid.

IV. 12/15/11 01:10 PM

In love and death is a classic as far as I'm concerned. The weird layered guitars and basslines on that album are really cool.

jdr277 12/15/11 01:25 PM

I love that most people agree "In Love and Death" is their best. "Lunacy Fringe" was my jam for a while and the B-sides album was great too. I just went back and listened too "Artwork" and "Lies For The Liars" because those were my least favorites but I really enjoyed LFTL, Artwork was the only album that really lacked for me, sounded very generic IMO, "On The Cross" was probably the only winner there for me.

Co and Ca 12/15/11 01:28 PM

anger music? now that's a way to stay relevant to your core audience of angsty teenagers.

Acad08 12/15/11 01:31 PM

Looking forward to it! Lies For The Liars is my favorite, but Artwork and the first few albums were solid as well.

CoheedForever 12/15/11 01:32 PM

Awesome, cant wait to hear it.

providence36 12/15/11 02:03 PM

Empty Without You was the only good thing about artwork in my opinion. I'll always hope they return to the sound of their first or second album

What genre would that be?
