Streetlight Fire - Acoustic EP
Streetlight Fire – Acoustic EP
Record Label: None Release Date: December 27, 2011 After releasing one of the strongest debut records of 2011 with Architects, Streetlight Fire keep the gears turning with an acoustic EP. Featuring three old songs and two brand new ones, this EP will amp listeners up even more for their sophomore record. As strong as ever, the acoustic “Prospect Park” carries even more emotion this time around, with Matt from The American Scene adding more power in the vocal department. The new cuts, “Rapture” and “Lost Cause,” definitely point to even greater things to come for Streetlight with their next chapter. The former may be the strongest song the guys have penned yet, with heartfelt vocals and incredibly candid lyrics, while the latter has a bit more of a bite to it, namely due to the heavy reliance on the guitar lines. Mainly, the acoustic versions allow Joshua Cosico and Keaton Nelson’s vocal chemistry to have an even greater emotional impact this time around, as they both hone in on their skills through the calm environment. Short and to the point, this EP was a great way to finish off 2011 for Streetlight – what started as a great year for them ended with a nice nod to the fans. Now as 2012 is already rolling right along, we’ll just have to wait and see what Streetlight Fire have up their sleeve next, but rest assured, it’ll be big. 8/10 |
Love these guys, but somehow missed this. Can't wait to check this out and for the new record as well.
