Have you heard the lyrics? It sounds like a 16 year old who thinks he knows what a hipster is wrote them on tumblr. Just awful.

We don't have the mp3 up, just a link to somewhere else. I mean you can google it now and it's everywhere. Not really worth trying to put the worms back in the can.

True haha, just wondering! I was waiting for this to light up on here though

anamericangod 01/12/12 08:29 PM

Why are people so hung up about him not swearing on songs?

I've read 16 year olds on tumblr that think they know what hipster means ... wouldn't say this is in that vein. Seems pretty patented Max to me. Don't get the awful tag.

Protested Hero 01/12/12 08:32 PM

These two songs have done so much more for me than the past two albums combined.

I mean, as much as I liked Max's lyrics before (my freakin' site is named after this song's apparent predecessor) they weren't exactly the apex of maturity. From the "lecherous douche" to the "crap rains down" to his apparently refusal to say "son of a bitch" (the song's most painfully "are you kidding me?" facepalm moment), everything about "Admit It Again" just rubs me the wrong way. I don't think he's ever been this immature, and he seems to think it's funny, while I just find it groan-inducing. Ugh.

I really want him to prove me wrong with the rest of the record, but this is worse than the worst songs he's written - Baseball's songs are more mature. I genuinely haven't hated a song he's written up until this point. Hopefully this is the only misstep.

Yeah, this is great. I love how it picks up after Admit It

Manufactured Dreams 01/12/12 08:33 PM

Admit It is definitely one of my favorite SA songs and this follow up doesn't disappoint! Sofa king good!

ianpritchard 01/12/12 08:34 PM

I was the one who said its about my brother. It was basically a joke, but I really wouldn't be surprised. Some of the lyrics are just too spot on

+1

Glad they didn't try to write another mature record.

Agreed. It's not really effective to write a demeaning song about how pompous someone is.... Seems ironic.
A lot of his insults seem straight out of junior high. Not really biting like the original.

introduction 01/12/12 08:35 PM

I like this song, but I miss the loud, chaotic messes Say Anything songs used to be.
