For the record, I do like his music. He shouldn't be shunned from AP just because he didn't see eye to eye with some people.

HarryPotter 01/13/12 02:12 PM

he's a dick. it's not about seeing eye to eye. he's simply a dick.

PirateSkater182 01/13/12 02:13 PM

I'll pay him to just quit.

SteveD 01/13/12 02:14 PM

I forgot this guy still existed.

If he wasn't such a douche to people + released music that they liked, I think more people would support him.

Yeah. I know you and others got into it with him, but when he was around a couple years ago he was always cool to me. And I think he puts out some decent tunes.

Hmmmm I'd actually like to know

Spencer Control 01/13/12 02:40 PM

Wait, was there some drama that unfolded which I missed? Can someone fill me in?

Personally, I miss his PlayRadioPlay! sound, and yeah, some Myspace posts and crap made him sound like a pretentious jerk.

He would always just come on and be a dick. To everyone. And constantly called out bands and crap for using auto tune and buying their way into things, while he was doing all of that...

EchoPark 01/13/12 03:14 PM

Did you even watch the trailer? There are like 30 people working on this documentary, all but one of them for free. An entire professional production company is doing this for close to nothing.

Not sure what that has to do with anything?

For some reason, you're equating what happened on this website with what takes place in the real world. As if me being a dick on an Internet forum means I'm a dick in real life. I'm a dick to people who are dicks to me. But strangely enough, people aren't dicks to me in real life. Strange how the Internet does that... In real life, I have plenty of people who support me.

Then why are you asking the internet for donations?

holyshnikes 01/13/12 04:16 PM

you have awoken a sleeping midget...now the war has begun. Good luck in getting donations...amazing to see how far Analog Rebellion has sunk, and Never Shout Never still chugs along...maybe Dan should've stuck to making music instead of trying to flame everyone else.

sucks to suck.

zbrmike79 01/13/12 04:20 PM

this thread MAY get awesome.

Mattylikesfilms 01/13/12 04:29 PM

I like his most of Dan's music so I'll probably throw a couple bucks his way for sure.

SomedayTheFire 01/13/12 04:34 PM

Douchebag move.

pennie 01/13/12 04:41 PM

he better hope that keyboard doesn't fall into the bath or he will get electrocuted.

EmoErk 01/13/12 04:46 PM

Is it about how he sits in his room at his parents house and writes shitty music?

Exactly. Why does the world need another "album making of" documentary? Just film it with some cameras and see if any of it is anything worth seeing.

heartsdietoo 01/13/12 05:40 PM

I'll match whatever Mr. Tate decides to donate...

I know that part haha. I don't understand why he wouldn't become good at being a musician before he starts making doco's

smorgy 01/13/12 09:04 PM

Regardless of other people's sour grapes, I love your music and you put on a great live show. Definitely donating.

Hahaha literally the best response jason could have come up with. Absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the laugh jason.

travadelic 01/14/12 03:23 AM

What I have heard of this album sounds great. People obviously have strong opinions about Dan, but I would put his musical abilities, creative and technical, a tier above the vast majority of artists around today. Less imperative to the consideration of his creative output, Dan is one of the funniest and good natured people I know. He has my support.

The last shot where it shows you in the room with the ladder (I think)--is that your studio? It looks very cool.
