a lot of people hate on him live but i like his sound. obviously he isn't going to sound like he does on an audio-edited album. i like the more natural and punk sound when he performs live. he should do it on the albums where it fits, for some of the more heavy songs

Or he could try singing... That last video he sounds horrendous in.

He's barely using words in the chorus for Stay Together for the Kids.

EDIT: And yea, he sounds even worse in Feeling This.

youd think with all the money he has he could get a vocal coach

I like his screamed-ish vocals on the studio version of 'The War,' but I don't like it live without the studio editing. I think Tom tries to be too dynamic/dramatic with his voice when he sings live.

There's no way he's sober during these performances. He sounds like his tongue got stung by a wasp

With age vocals tend to worsen and usually don't sound as strong as they used to. Thing is with Tom his singing voice has always been pretty high and I'm guessing hes finding it hard to hit the high notes as well as he used to. Some of those performances though hes definitely drunk.

Sometimes Toms live efforts make me embarrassed they're my fave band

I love Ava but he doesnt ever seem as tragic in their shows

Honestly, every video you posted, specifically at the parts you wanted me to hear, sounds awful to me. I won't judge, cause I've liked a lot of vocalists in the past that I'm embarrassed to say I once liked... but...

Sounds like their mics were definitely run through something on that one.

I don't understand what went wrong with hsi voice and his performances. He changes a lot of parts, dragging words around and sounding a lot more dramatic that he needs to, almost sounding like a self parody i think ahah

I dont understand, really! Maybe realying on too much studio trickery when you can't do the same live is really not a good idea, or his vocals just lost power and the ability to stay in tune, that happens too eheh
