The All-American Rejects Opening for Blink-182

The All-American Rejects will be opening for Blink-182 on their upcoming stint of tour dates.

blimpcityhero11 02/16/12 09:16 AM

Expected. I'm intrigued to hear their new album. "Beekeeper's Daughter" is pure pop catchiness.

lp670sv 02/16/12 09:18 AM

Read the title as The All American rejects opening for Blink 182 and thought who the hell are they and why are they turning down a golden opportunity?

I agree, this tour is a real bummer

xrider105 02/16/12 09:47 AM

I'm kinda bummed the NJ date is Bamboozle. I would love to see this tour for real.

Uncalled Four 02/16/12 09:48 AM

First My Chemical Romance and now All- American Rejects. What's up with blink taking such bad bands on tour?

chokeychicken 02/16/12 09:51 AM

sad that blink couldn't handpick a better band for this tour.

AdamChildress 02/16/12 09:55 AM

Awesome =D

I believe it's a relatively new concept called 'subjectivity'...

I think it's Swedish

iAMhollyood315 02/16/12 10:34 AM

people can't really bitch Blink 182 is playing shows in markets that haven't seen this band in years, Hell Rochester they've never played its always Darien Lake (Buffalo) or Spac (Albany area) for people in Upstate NY. They've only played Syracuse once in 2001 so its nice to have a date thats a lot closer. They also don't play NH or Eastern connecticut area often either. They will be at every major city next bit tour they announce. This little run is just a way for them to reach out to fans in smaller areas before a big festival date.

PermanentTourists 02/16/12 10:45 AM

Love AAR.

Cpt. Geech 02/16/12 10:51 AM

I want a reboot of the pop disaster tour! Saves the day (some got JEW), Green Day and Blink 182. Booyah goodness

ghsNICK! 02/16/12 11:13 AM

I wish they came near Florida.

They have a huge following and are solid support?

shoop 02/16/12 11:54 AM

gross..get better opening bands for change

ChaseTx 02/16/12 12:09 PM

I know at least Mark has some really diverse and obscure tastes in music and they don't really need an opening act to sell out every show they play, so why not use it as a spotlight for smaller bands?

It's not like they took Manchester Orchestra and Matt And Kim out for an amphiteater tour or anything.

there are just so many great bands with good fanbases who could fill this slot. AAR does't really need/deserve this slot.

oh right right. But bands like AAR, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, etc, don't really need a spot headlining for Blink to make a name for themselves.

Well, it makes sense they want to your with friends or bands they like. Motion city would have been cool though.

bladerdude360 02/16/12 01:07 PM

Meh. Stopped caring about AAR a while ago. They just don't do it for me anymore.

MCR puts on a good live show. Unless you really don't like them I can't imagine not enjoying their show

I like MCR, but the band looked bored out of their minds during the blink tour.

Rysker6 02/16/12 02:04 PM

AAR and Blink-182 on the same bill, Hola 2004.

MyFriendsOver 02/16/12 02:48 PM

Powerful lineup.

When I saw them (Milwaukee date of the 2011 Blink tour), they played fine, bu they were mixed terrible. Any song that I didn't already know sounded like pure noise.

hey i wouldnt mind seeing weezer and FOB with blink, that would be fun. and blink has taken out a lot of smaller bands, like against me! and rancid on this most recent tour. they also had alkaline trio and the ataris on the first honda civic tour

CBKRP 02/16/12 06:40 PM

Why has Blink chosen such lackluster bands to open for them since re-uniting?

TheModernAge 02/16/12 06:58 PM

Makes me appreciate the fact that I got to see Rancid open for them this summer.

They'll probably add dates, I already know they have a couple Canadian dates lined up right after.

FTSKayluhh 02/16/12 08:02 PM

can't wait for bamboozle.

PopPunkKid 02/16/12 10:09 PM

Old username, wish I could change it. Sorry, just think MCR puts on a hell of a lot better show than blink.
