it actually bums me out that fun was on it

lol at all of the people saying Glee could ever generate even close to the amount of exposure as super bowl commercial. The most watched anything anywhere known to be the one time of the year that people actually WANT to watch commercials >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Glee

Ugh.....
Love fun. Can honestly say though that I've never heard the Glee cover, no desire to. Good for them to give attention to a great band instead of whatever Top 40 flavor of the week is currently popular. |
Fuck Ryan Murphy, and fuck Glee. It's bad enough that they had to cover Cough Syrup (and that I actually liked it), but taking sole credit for fun.'s big break into stardom? Shut the fuck up.

There is a really weird, unnecessary debate going on in this thread about which one broke the song Glee or the Super Bowl.
The article pretty clearly states: "But while the release of the "Glee" version did cause a 1,650% jump in sales of fun.'s "We Are Young" (from 3,000 to 49,000, according to Columbia, during the week of Dec. 11, 2011), it wasn't until the song appeared in the Super Bowl spot that fun.'s "We Are Young" took off. In the weeks since, the song has notched sales weeks of 291,000, 244,000 and 296,000, working backward to the week of the Super Bowl. Its total sales now stand at 1.2 million." |
Glee kinda did the same thing with Young The Giant recently. I hate this show but if it's going to expose biddies to new and better music, so be it. Glee is a necessary evil.

glee is a horrible show. not the least bit fun. to watch.
|
Glee is such a shitty, horribly written show. That being said, at least something good came out of it by giving fun. the attention they deserve.

PJ BLOOMS IS A FUCKING SNOB. I hate fun but don't fucking act like you "celebrate" hit pop music, you celebrate bullshit, and profit off the hard work of others. that guy can gargle my balls.
“It was still on its original blank CD-R titled in poorly handwritten red Sharpie.” When Janick suggested that the track was perfect for the musical show, Bloom demurred. “‘Glee’ doesn’t break bands,” Bloom says. WHAT A FUCKING CHACH BAG-glad fun go their plug though, i'd rather them succeed then let this doucher stomp on their success |
I thought it was that Super Bowl commercial that got them huge...not a huge fan of Glee....
|
I wish they would drop the period in their name so that reading sentences about this band was much easier.
|
fuck glee
