Mental illness and I hope he gets the treatment he needs. That being said, there are still a decent amount of factual inaccuracies in that video. Not to mention the sad reflection it is on our generation that it takes a slickly made video to get people to focus on one of many issues of this nature. (even if it was for a brief moment)

They're still going with the whole stressed out/mental illness thing? I'm pretty sure people would like him more if he just said "Yeah, i made an ass of myself. I'm sorry." the end. This is all just making him look more ridiculous.

That link from Vice starts with "As someone who has worked in propaganda for a long time," and then continues by using propaganda to try to turn people away from IC. In many ways, including bringing up irrelevant info, taking quotes way out of context, and even claiming Kony is not that bad.

and the vice article doesn't say that Kony "is not that bad". it basically states the LRA are growing more and more irrelevant on their own and Kony really hasn't been an issue in northern Uganda recently. and now with the IC campaign, he is being brought to light again. The LRA has less than 100 members and kills less people than disease does in Uganda (about 3-4 since 2006). This campaign is uninvited in Uganda (see link of reprimand from the Ugandan Prime Minister: http://globalvoicesonline.org/2012/0...rime-minister/) and misdirected (calling on the Uganda military to take action when their travesties are almost also equal as the LRA's :http://www.observer.ug/index.php?option=com_content&view=a rticle&id=17456:updf-in-kony-hunt-accused-of-rape-looting)

This whole thing - this guy, IC, Kony - is a mess. I'd be hard-pressed to give less a fuck about any of it at this point.

So, you're arguing that it's not that Kony's not that bad, it's just there's worse problems in the world, so their efforts should be going to a bigger problem? And the Prime Minister says he's not in Uganda, so we shouldn't look for him because it's not worth it or something?

That doesn't sound right. And it's not like they new this would go viral, they were raising awareness for a problem that their charity organization specifically is targeted. I don't understand.

that's such an ignorant statement. They didn't know that it would go viral? If you truly think that then you're a damn fool. They definitely knew it would go viral. And their charity is under fire because of the their questionable financials.
