I saw that online somewhere. Is there a list of what stores are going to be carrying it?

Larger stores get higher quantities but last year I had no problem getting a copy of Cities by Anberlin and I assume The Everglow is going to attract a similar customer base

rollerman4221 04/04/12 01:27 PM

This might be my first vinyl purchase (everglow would be second) because whenever I get around to purchasing a nice sound system and a record player, these would be the first 2 albums I would want to listen to.

t00latef0rr0ses 04/04/12 01:31 PM

this is glorious. Summertime... what a track.

mackieinva 04/04/12 01:37 PM

nice, been waiting for this to be pressed. the perfect album to play when laying with your loved one drifting asleep.

Drew Beringer 04/04/12 01:47 PM

20-25 dollars for a single LP? lol nope

I wouldn't even pay that much for an album that I actually like.

No stores in Ohio even got Cities. I had to call around and finally found a store in Kansas that was willing to ship it. So it depends on where you live.

Dude, that's a pretty average going price for new vinyl. And when the album is this quality, you really want to miss out because you weren't willing to shell out another five or ten stupid bucks? Years from now, I'll still be spinning this record. Are you going to look back fondly on those few dollars you saved?

guitarguy211 04/04/12 02:29 PM

Such a good album and band.

I don't really care for this album. And most single LP albums go anywhere between 12 and 20 dollars. Rather use the 20 dollars on buying the Vheissu 2xLP reissue next week or the 15 dollars on the new Daytrader LP.

I feel the same way. If it was an album I really liked / wanted I would shell out for it, but that at this point in time I'm saving for Vheissu (which I hope doesn't sell out before I get a chance to order it).

Like you said, $20. Upper-end of average, but still average. And you'll always pay more for 180-gram. But I'll be all over that Vheissu repress too. Hopefully it's slightly better quality than the AITA repress.

It really depends on the artist, press quality, packaging, run, etc. You're talking middle of the road vinyl; this pressing is just slightly north of that, and you can't fault them for charging more on 180-gram.

schmalz 04/04/12 03:28 PM

I just shelled out 25 om the Juliana theory EID.. Saving the rest for vheissu. Will pass on this

i realize 180g will usually cost more. regardless, i bought the lost boys version of rufio yesterday for $20 shipped and it comes with two bonus 7"; thrice vheissu 2xlp is coming out for around $25 shipped (and thats because HT bones you a bit on shipping). this preorder doesn't even say what kind of jacket, if there's an insert, etc. they also want $5 for shipping.

fallingapart101 04/04/12 03:58 PM

Order 2!

You can't put a price on this record our any record that people are fans of I would of spent 50 on this. Same with vehissu which I'm sure will be 20 to 25.

This. Good grief...I'd buy this if it weren't for the outrageous price.

I'm glad you have the money to pay for overpriced vinyl.

NO WAY! Is that a for sure thing for Thrice? I heard rumors but never saw a confirmation for Vheissu

Searos 04/04/12 04:21 PM

I want this. I really want this but I have bought enough records. I am going to hold off for a while. I want to get the All Killer No Filler re-release when it is out. If any of these are still available later though I may go for it this summer but it sounds doubtful. The one I want is The Everglow though.

CarouselBoy 04/04/12 05:29 PM

holding out for the everglow :-)

asterndale 04/04/12 05:54 PM

must.....have, one of my all time favorites cause i listened to it so much in high school haha

TheDillon 04/04/12 06:11 PM

not for $20+ $3 shipping! maybe if it was a double LP butttt its not.

Readyfuels 04/04/12 07:07 PM

I could care less about this being $20 +shipping. Mae is one of those bands who has never ripped any of their fans off and are just a genuine group of guys. I don't mind giving them $25 for one of my all time favorite albums.

Now I'm just hoping the navy and white swirl looks as good as it sounds.

Alison1488 04/04/12 07:16 PM

Ordered without giving it a second thought. This is one of my all-time favorite albums.

xxdeadawakexx 04/04/12 07:34 PM

just ordered a copy. i bet the quality of the vinyl and jacket will be excellent because of the price.

Tooth and nail apparently doesn't believe in rsd exclusives as you can still pick up cities from their online store. Not sure how many they said they pressed but pretty sure they should've sold out by now.

CaryGrant 04/04/12 08:12 PM

Definitely, definitely buying this.

So worth it!! Ordered. And, I had no idea the Everglow was coming out too. Forever will love and support this band!

Gumbyjag 04/04/12 09:30 PM

Missed on the 180-Gram but it's cool.

spezialk 04/05/12 06:31 AM

Preordered the swirl since I missed out on the 180gram. Between this, TEN, The Wonder Years EP and record store day, my wallet is going to take a major hit!

Yeah, I think that's pretty crappy that they did that. I remember seeing them up there after I already had searched for and exclusive RSD copy. But I just looked and it's not there now. New copies are going for about $40 on Amazon, and I just saw that the New Surrender Vinyl is listed at $150. Maybe it's time to sell my copy...

pretty bummed I missed this yesterday doing you know, work. I guess the white will do.

francescaa 04/05/12 07:53 PM

I really wanted the 180-gram, was online when they first went on sale & still missed out because, for some insane reason, the pre-order is US only. What the hell.

Us 'Zona guys miss out on a lot of these East Coast-based releases once they're announced.

I know that they have 1000 copies to distribute between all of the stores. So as long as you go to a well known record store, you probably won't have any problems getting it...... as long as you're near the front of the line. haha
