I think they're not too into the loop of what's happened over the past year. Sounded like he listened to the band's music and it clicked with them

According to jonny's facebook he just finished a 30 day rehab which might be enough to convince the rest of the band to let him tour, despite the fact hes probably not clean. Also the used might understand his struggle more than a lot of bands. I can see it
