Gah, Dumb & Dumber 2 is the worst fucking idea. I hope most people realize this after they get over their initial excitement. The Farrelly brothers have been pulled throw the fires of Hollywood and lost their particular edge. Nothing they could write for these characters could turn out to be anything worthy of a return and I'm really bummed they're following through with it.
Look what happened when Platinum Dunes got a hold of Friday the 13th! They ended up churning out one of the best Jason movies since the original four. Granted Friday is more dumb fun than atmosphere, I don't think PD could do more damage to the series than Rob Zombie has.
Some of the character design for Brave looks very Dreamworks-esque. Ehhh.
I really hope Reitman approaches Labor Day a bit differently than he ha his past few films. I never saw the novel in the same light he portrays the world in his films... bland looking yet filled with colorful people. I hope he takes a more neo-realist approach.
That Black Widow clip is hilarious. What a poorly executed action scene. She took the dude out with her hair. The only thing missing is a Hinder song.
The Apocalypse is adding up to be one big pot of "Too Bad It's Not 2007 Anymore."
Looper poster is fucking terrible, the film shall be excellent.
Let's hope Lionsgate and the next director of the Hunger Games will throw away the horrid second book and build off from the small elements in it that actually weren't embarrassingly bad. Oh, there you go, Dickface, getting your hopes up again!
I do not weep for the loss of JGL. He wants to go off and shoot that horrid sounding first feature of his and his role in Django was quite insignificant. The film is shaping up to be quite eh anyways, unfortunately. I'm slightly bummed that JGL is getting big enough to pick and choose roles like this now. Not on some "fuck stardom" shit. It's just that he seems to have lost some of that hunger for good films and great roles. I mean, COME ON! That fucking bike messenger movie looks hilariously bad.
The Newsroom looks absolutely brilliant. Probably one of the most surprisingly great trailers of late. Sorkin's finally made a post-West Wing show worthy of his talents!
Still can't quite get a grasp on the tone of Derek, but seeing Pilky laugh and act like a normal fucking human is endearing.
Take This Waltz looks fucking incredible and the film will definitely eat up a few Indie Spirits this year. The red band Ted trailer looks hilarious and I am excited to see that Hutcherson kid fuck a tranny in 7 Days in Havana under the direction of Benicio Del Toro. Rock of Ages looks like an absolute blast but damn me if it doesn't look like it takes place all on one street much like The Avengers. Savages looks like it's going to take the silver medal for worst film of 2012 right behind The Great Gatsby. A Fantastic Fear of Everything looks so bland. Simon Pegg, why must you do this to yourself?
