Really don't get why this makes him a "douche". He isn't trying to stop the other guys from getting nominated. He's just saying he is happy with the band he is with now and doesn't want to detract from that by doing something with the 'real' GnR.
Then again, people probably would call him a douche if he did a proper reunion as well, saying he's only in it for the money.
The point remains, Axl has done a ton of douchey things, but this isn't really one of them.

Thank you! I think he's done a lot of shit in the past but he seems to be handling this in the best way he can.

From his point of view, he can sell out stadiums with the current lineup and he probably gets largest share of the money by a lot. He won't make any "more" money from the reunion, they will still sell out stadiums, and he would likely get a smaller share the of profits. Yes he's a douche, but in reality, there is nothing in it for him in the sense of a reunion. There's nothing in it for him to make up with Slash, besides the friendship, and pleasing fans.
