Virtual Tupac To Go On Tour?

It seems like there is some discussion going on about a possible tour featuring Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and the Tupac Shakur "hologram" that made its appearance at Coachella this weekend. Factoid: Since the virtual Tupac was 2D and not 3D, it is not technically a hologram.
From the Article Representatives for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg plan to discuss logistics for a tour involving the two performers and the virtual Tupac, according to a person familiar with the discussions. One option would be a tour in stadiums, involving other hip-hop stars, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. Alternately, they could stage a more limited tour, featuring only Dre, Snoop Dogg and the virtual Tupac, in smaller arenas.

dude that hologram scared the shit out of me for some reason. like when it just rose up out of the ground and then was like so realistic.

this news thread wont end well. gonna just say i think it'd be awesome and head on out before the herd of ap.net newsposters with shitty opinions on hip hop comes in here

That tour would sell out arenas in minutes. I didn't see the performance yet, but it sounds like it's a pretty cool idea. As long as they leave 50 and Wiz off of the tour.

I would attend this solely to witness it.

It would create big draws for sure.

I would cry a lot if I went, no lie.

I thought it sounded too expensive to do that much.

I don't see the longterm sustainability of such a project. I don't see people coming back - it's a one time gimmick and that is it. It's almost playing God and creating scenarios that never existed and milking the dead.

If there was one tour I see this working for, it's Jackson's final tour.

That would be fucking great, throw Biggie up there too and they can posthumously settle that beef.

And then we get world peace.

They could probably charge A LOT for those tickets. Like, $100 for the cheap seats?

I agree...but if you do a 20-date tour over the course of a couple months and hit only the major markets? Could probably do 20K in each market?
