Agreed here. The song is a straightforward breakup song, honest as can be, and I like that about it. Lyrics to a song should not require ambiguity or overwhelming emotion to not be considered to contain "lyrical prowess of a college girl in her early 20s", IMO. The cover is.... well, Glee. I'm not a fan of the show, I just acknowledge that it exists and do my best to ignore it outside of it being posted about here. I don't absolutely love the song to begin with either (every time I hear the marimba, all I can think of is the ABC's). |
Hm. I was unaware that the original was any good

Don't know how you call this song bland or "trite."
This is AP afterall. |
sure it may be tuned a good amount but at least its not overly reverbed like every single shitty indie song out there now.

These guys sing better than him. Maybe that's why he's bitter.

There goes my theory that the creator will call Wally a homophobe Edit: he prob will still accuse him anyway. Haha |
Anamericangod blasting the lyrics of this song when he listens to shit with lyrics much worse. Classic.

The song is written and arranged beautifully but it's extremely simple and like Joe said, it's not like the lyrics are spectacular. It is a great vocal performance and an awesome radio song - overall an awesome song to see doing so well - but yeah, not that great and Glee didn't make it any better. Oh well at least they aren't trying to cover Springsteen anymore.

so are they gay...or are they brothers?
