I was not a fan of the last album. I can dig this.

Really enjoying these tracks. I never even listened or look at the last album but from what I gather, it's a good thing I didn't. This is what I want from Set Your Goals. And now I'm wishing they were playing Warped Tour again. Loved seeing them live the first time I did.

was meh on the previews... love these so much more than the last 2 albums

I don't see how this is all that much better than BABE, although I was in the minority who thought BABE was good. I see no correlation with this and Mutiny! or TWBTDOU.

Lord these are so much better than BABE.

Way to go SYG

fucking awesome i chipped two teeth when i saw them in december

TWBTDOU was my favorite, I just remember being so excited, waiting to hear it for the first time (I discovered Mutiny in early 08) and was going to see them 3 days after the release. I thought that Look Closer, Summer Jam, The Fallen, and The Few That Remain were some of their best songs ever written even though Mutiny as whole album was better if that makes any sense.

I couldn't pre-order BABE fast enough but it left me so dissapointed even though I love the fuck outta the pop songs (Certain, London Heathrow and Product of the 80's - such a guilty pleasure song). These songs are great especially the second one. Hope Chad comes back to produce the whole record. Live show is awesome even though on youtube it doesn't look that great haha

never really understood the hate for BABE but these songs fucking rule

Do I detect a little bit of lady problems?
problems = good music

Chad Gilbert= The God Father of EasyCore. The placement of every catchy riff, pause, gang vocal and breakdown is so perfect.

SYG's have become the most polarizing band on this site and this super positive response proves it. I really wish they wouldn't of named their last album what they did so I wouldn't have to see the word BABE anymore! haha rock on to these new tunes people..

8BitGlitch 04/24/12 05:40 PM

Why isn't Chad doing the whole record?

dannylololol 04/24/12 05:41 PM

Yum

theStartingline 04/24/12 05:44 PM

Chad is just awesome in whatever he has a hand in along with the rest of NFG. I just really hope someone writes another album review that subtly challenges FYS to respond..
