Tilde 04/24/12 05:56 AM

This makes up for BABE

mvacare23 04/24/12 05:58 AM

IMO, better than any song since Mutiny! .... In all honesty, I think I enjoy these more than any song off of Mutiny!.

hiya 04/24/12 06:00 AM

these are great. I really think they should stick with Chad as their producer, it works well.

That makes 2 of us.

SkyGrowsBigger 04/24/12 06:04 AM

wow, I cannot say enough good things about "I'll Walk It Off." More excited about this band than I have been in a long time

LivingTheLyrics 04/24/12 06:07 AM

Purchased. Instantly hooked.

Protested Hero 04/24/12 06:15 AM

I can't wait to listen to these; I'm excited now.

ThisIsNotDan 04/24/12 06:16 AM

Yeah definitely gotta stick with Chad guys. if the next album is along these lines I'll be happy for sure

teh_erica 04/24/12 06:17 AM

So good.

LiquorAndDick 04/24/12 06:24 AM

These songs are so solid. The band has finally progressed how I envisioned after hearing Mutiny.

ParkAvenue 04/24/12 06:50 AM

It must really suck to be Four Year Strong right now.

get up kidd 04/24/12 07:00 AM

This sounds like more of a natural progression, but in a good way. Glad about that.

Still, songs are just good, not anything special. That's it. They sound like an any ol average pop punk band with awesome production. Other than the little bridge for "Ill walk it off" it doesn't have what made Mutiny! and TWBTDOU so damn good. It just doesn't have what made SYG so special the first time i listened.

Tyler Vagyler 04/24/12 07:11 AM

holy shit these rule!

The Meech 04/24/12 07:21 AM

Chad Gilbert has really become one of the top producers in this genre

ramomcferno 04/24/12 07:26 AM

So good.

Chad did awesome on this but bottom line is that the band just wrote better songs than on BABE, extremely happy to hear how much they've come back into their own and I hope these songs are indicative of the next album. If this is what the next record is going to sound like, it could be real huge for them. More than just a bounce-back.

Yep

Yeah I have to agree with this
Both of them are very solid pop-punk songs but I just feel like this band is loosing its identity a bit
Their hardcore influence is all but gone, and with that the energy in the songs has decreased

The bridge in the second song is a throwback to what I love'd about SYG but I'd take Mutiny, The Fallen, This Will Be the Death of Us, Echo's etc over these new songs any day

fuckyourscenes 04/24/12 07:33 AM

So they realized wnat a disaster their last album was?

I wonder if it's too late for them?

ghelms88 04/24/12 07:34 AM

Awesome, awesome stuff. So excited for the new album.

schapsy2 04/24/12 07:35 AM

YES YES! These are AWESOME. Thank you guys for going back in this direction - the production on these songs sounds so rich and deep compared to the last album. Great job!

ChaplainTappman 04/24/12 07:35 AM

Enjoyed these on my initial listen. We'll see how the album is.

This is also one of the first times I've enjoyed Chad's production.

It started to suck to be Four Year Strong back in November.

Boom.

Can't wait to get out of school to hear these. BABE was mediocre at its best, but the reaction to these looks very positive so far.

JPA917 04/24/12 07:40 AM

Cannot wait to give this a listen. My history professor needs to shut up.

misguidedmugen 04/24/12 07:42 AM

Never really listened to this band, seen them like on the Fall AP Tour this past year and really like their set.

These songs make me want to get into them for sure.

cwhit412 04/24/12 07:44 AM

First song is so boring. Second one is much better. I miss the energy from TWBTDOU. still can't see how people dislike that album.

Montauk1222 04/24/12 07:48 AM

Streamer isn't working for me. Guess I'll have to wait.

stefan86 04/24/12 07:51 AM

Didn't get me as excited as the first time I heard 'The fallen' for a SYG album but it's okay; the second song is definitely the better.

Anyone think the second one sounds like "feelin' this" by blink sped up?

iseejosh 04/24/12 07:55 AM

Fucking amazing. The best $2 I will spend all day.

Now that I listen again I think it's just how he sings the first two lines. Totally a stretch but it's where my mind went haha

Mattylikesfilms 04/24/12 08:01 AM

I went ahead and bought the songs on iTunes without listening to it this morning.

Listening now and I am not disappointed. Good job dudes!

I think Jordan's voice has been compared to Tom's in the past.

Agreed 100% man.

Its good, but its not what made them so special in the first place.

And FYI as soon as i wrote that post, I jammed the "The Fallen" haha. Great track.

I always thought he sounded like the dude from homegrown

irthesteve 04/24/12 08:18 AM

Chad seriously needs to produce their whole new record, these are both great

this, i'm just glad this is at least way better than the last album. it still doesn't touch TWBTDOU which is my favorite record imo

randys950 04/24/12 08:38 AM

for some reason my phone could only play the second song, but I never really liked set your goals, but that song was damn good!

HeavenResign 04/24/12 08:38 AM

I like them both a lot, but the second song rules SO hard.

Brandon Allin 04/24/12 08:39 AM

Both songs rule. Can't wait for a new LP. I will always love this band.

Album rules, but how are these in any way lacking energy?

SuperSharkWeek 04/24/12 08:45 AM

Set Your Goals. Thank you. That is all I have to say.

Alexx Miller 04/24/12 08:47 AM

Awesome songs. Can't wait for more.

First song just seems to be missing something, feels just as empty as NFG's last album.

NoUse2808 04/24/12 08:52 AM

Also on Spotify FYI. Very good... saw them live for the 1st time this month.. off the hook!
