uglystar03 04/28/12 01:22 PM

Christmas? Damn, that's far off.

fna4 04/28/12 01:39 PM

I didn't think it was possible for me to get sick of or be unimpressed with anything Nate wrote. Then this song came along.

BusterBluth 04/28/12 01:46 PM

this looks so good

gonfreaks 04/28/12 01:51 PM

Funny People was underwhelming but I couldn't be more excited for this.

iseejosh 04/28/12 01:59 PM

If Paul Rudd tried to do wrong, im sure he'd fail. Im writing this forgetting 'Over Her Dead Body' ever existed.

justinwho 04/28/12 02:01 PM

i laughed pretty hard watching this trailer. i'm officially stoked for the movie!

jkim4007 04/28/12 02:07 PM

WeltallAY 04/28/12 02:10 PM

Getting sick of this song

ari telescope 04/28/12 03:09 PM

I can't wait for this movie!

CarouselBoy 04/28/12 03:12 PM

Mmmm I feel like the song doesn't match the comical mood of the trailer

Clark 04/28/12 03:25 PM

Looks a lot more like Funny People than Knocked Up to me.

saintnumberfive 04/28/12 04:27 PM

I will catch this on the Men-Jay.

I will see you there, or I will see you on another time!

You got it, Joben.

Ok, I'm done.

daftpunker45 04/28/12 05:23 PM

Megan Fox has to be the only sort-of downside.

ari telescope 04/28/12 05:25 PM

^Wrong movie

No way, Funny People was a depressing movie about depressed people. It looks more like an in-between. They're obviously trying to appeal to parents and adult couples so I understand why it wouldn't be as raunchy and young as Knocked Up.

ajakober 04/28/12 06:09 PM

This song is doing what The First Single should have.

Seriously this has been going on since the Super Bowl. Stop it, please. Katy Perry needs to release a new single ASAP.

zachff 04/28/12 07:12 PM

Saw this yesterday. I hope they got some fat stacks for the rights.

Wrong movie, solid quotes though.

TheDillon 04/28/12 07:19 PM

My roommates saw a screening of this about 3 months ago and said it was hysterical. They watched the trailer and said that it doesn't show any of the extremely funny parts... I'm excited for this.

I know. I was just throwing out Paul Rudd quotes.

CallMeTroy 04/28/12 08:01 PM

This song has really grown on me. I still never want to hear it, though.

NLRGAH 04/28/12 08:47 PM

Happy

Saw these guys(Fun) last night, to a sold out crowd. So sick of the song, the band pretty much played a new song(some nights) then a song off of Aim and Ignite. Really cool to see a bunch of talented /hardworking guys getting a chance to live out their dream. I'm praying people get into "some nights" and don't make this band a "one hit wonder." I have a feeling Nate will probably do a lot of "song writing" for other artists when this album dies down. But i'm kinda annoyed the label isn't pushing their next single yet. Seems crazy to me.

Truth.
Verses don't even rhyme or flow.

njdevils327 04/29/12 12:07 PM

Everytime Nate takes a shit it's reported on this site.

NLRGAH 04/29/12 12:28 PM

The craziness shows no signs of abating as the song goes global. Ruess can afford to be amused by the situation, having tasted major label life’s more painful side the first time around with The Format. “When I was 19 I thought I’d written a song that should have been bigger than this one. It was called The First Single,” he says. A breezy tune built on an energetic acoustic strum, it didn’t chart when released in 2003 and the band were later dropped from their label. “So I thought if it didn’t happen then it’ll never happen again. If we do end up being a one-hit band now, I’m pretty sure I can live with that.”

He’ll make sure he enjoys this prolonged moment for as long as it continues too. “I like being the centre of attention right now. I’m getting to write with some amazing people, but I also get to say, ‘No, it’s my turn.’” Over a decade since he first thought he had a hit on his hands, he’s earned it.

Interview with Nate Ruess
