That was dumb.

I couldn't hear what he said...can someone paraphrase/transcribe what he said? I recently saw Refused and it kinda makes me confused as why someone would be angry with them...

ITT: Refused cock-riders who wouldn't know real hardcore if it was right in front of them.

If you don't listen to Terror, and haven't heard One With The Underdogs, I don't understand how you can even say you listen to Hardcore.

That being said, I have tickets to see Refused with OFF! in Royal Oak, MI this summer.

A) Buried Alive played shows with Refused before they broke up. So, Refused existing had no role in Terror existing.
B)Terror is in no way a Pantera rip off. Get your mosh straight.
C)Context. Yes They've been in multiple bands, but he was talking about the hardcore scene. I don't think anyone would consider T(I)NC a hardcore band.
D)He is entitled to his opinion
E)If you don't think Terror was influential on the hardcore scene, you obviously didn't see the entire scene do a 180 when their 2002 demo dropped.
F) U MAD

Boom goes the dynamite.

/thread.

Beat me to the punch!

calling out a band that has done more for a genre with one album than you have in a decade doesn't seem like a smart move. The mob mentality of these "HxC" crews are simply pathetic. Bands like this should just die out already.

What did he say??

Think he would have been more accurate if he was calling out people who came out of the woodwork to see Refused but never gave a fuck about the hardcore scene in the past ten years. They are like from Sweden.

Elitists are the reason Hardcore is annoying and not taken seriously by anybody other than the people involved in it. Exhibit A.

AKA he is butthurt that Refused draws more people to their shows after being inactive for over a decade than the whole hardcore scene has for the past 10 years as it slowly self destructs due to the shallow mindset of faux-loyalty and mob mentality.

Let's face it, a lot of people that are involved in the hardcore scene nowadays treat it like a cult.

georgedcc 05/02/12 11:18 AM

I was under the impression that Dennis and Scott were friends. Guess not anymore, but I know Refused were/are massive fans of Terror.
