Honestly I don't think Skiba even understands the music he's making. He's saying it's got an 80's The Cure vibe, and then he's tossing other names like Adam Ant, meanwhile the cd is pretty much just simple punk rock barely different than Alk3. It's an awesome album, but this dude just pisses me off.

Babylon is a great album. This is one of my favorite songs off the record, and this performance is awesome. Matt Skiba is awesome.

I'm a casual ALK3 fan and I listened tp this album today and liked it, but Matt Skiba has not always worn make-up like that, right?

At least Skiba is still able to make it with the same hairline as me.

edit: nice, dropping the Chameleons. They absolutely don't get anywhere near the recognition they should have.

The album is worth buying for the chorus of "Haven't You?" alone. I love it so much. Matt Skiba is awesome.

Love Skiba but he looks like a drag queen with the makeup and combover. That said, How The Hell Did We Get Here was the song I was looking the most forward to and when I finally heard it, realizing it was about House of Leaves, it put a huge smile on my face. I'm about half-way through right now, such an incredible book that now has a complementing song.
