Billy Talent have released a teaser clip for their upcoming single and you can listen to it in the replies.

That gave me little-to-no information on what to expect, really.

Please tell me I wasn't the only one to think it was gonna be "Viking Death Metal"...like, Billy Talent deciding to take some inspiration from Amon Amarth for the new record.

This time next week I guess we will be listening to Viking Death March.

Clip sounded alright to me. Excited to hear more.

I saw Billy Talent once in Seattle and this van pulls up in front of the venue and people are whispering, like, 'Is that the band?' and I wasn't sure if it was them or not, then that guy got out and it was like, 'Oh yep, that's them.'

He's a pretty solid guitarist, their first album is wicked good.

Well, this did the trick. I'm now excited.

first album fucking ruled, second had a handful good songs on it, third one almost entirely sucked... hope they found a way to stop this downhill-movement. :annoyed:

I think the first and second are on the same level. Both of them were awesome. 3rd not so much, though.

Agreed. The first two are quite a bit different from each other but I enjoyed them equally. The third one had a few decent songs on it but none of it really stood out or had lasting value with me. I'm still excited to give this a listen.

Hopefully it'll be the same style as Billy Talent II. Love that album.

Shocked to see how many people didn't like III. Not my favorite material from them but I think it's their strongest work they've put out yet.

III was okay but it's just nowhere near as good as the first two. although i was a little disappointed they didn't use the anti-flag turn your back on the album.

It's almost unanimous in regards to III being the least likeable album. I have to agree. The first two were very impressive; pretty much grew up on those records. III was just a disappointment. Nothing stood out.

^ And yeah they should have gone with the Anti-Flag version on the album.

Wouldve been better if they released it in March. Still stoked. Havent had a single album that they released i didnt like.
