Hot Water Music Opens Strong With Exister
Although they weren't noted in the chart we posted earlier, SoundScan is reporting in its official counts that Hot Water Music sold just over 10,000 copies in first-week sales of Exister, their first record in eight years - good for an opening at the No. 33 position on the charts. Congratulations to the band and to Rise Records.

Basically the HITS Daily Double chart doesn't report all counts, but SoundScan is the official one, so it picks up whatever releases other charts miss.

I bought this record this past Saturday, so I'm definitely happy to be one of 10,000 people who bought it. Haha. "Exister" is certainly one of my favorite records of the year.

I made the mistake of adding the Is A Real Boy repress that got delayed with my interpunk order. So I won't be getting my copy for another week or so. Awesome album though.
