After 21st Century Breakdown I refuse to get excited about Green Day anymore. I will definitely listen to these and hope that they can prove me wrong, but I really doubt it.

Also they shouldn't be getting ahead of themselves. Something tells me one or both of the later albums are going to get pushed back.

They already have release dates and album art. Pushing any of them back would pretty much wreck the concept, and I think the label is committed at this point and the albums are done. Unless the first one doesn't sell any copies (which won't happen), they'll go ahead as planned and release all three on schedule.

I'd be willing to bet on that. This isn't like Stephen Jenkins speculating on the release of Ursa Minor.

Way to keep an open mind, bud.

Wow. The Gin Blossoms called from 1996. They want their guitar riffs back.

Sounds a lot like the bridge riff from "Teenagers" by My Chemical Romance.

Agree 110%

Kind of liked the first teaser. This one, not so much.

Umm... What does this even mean?

This is going to kick ass.

RyanGarner 06/24/12 11:16 AM

At least they're doing something different.

I almost hate to even admit knowing this but I was forced to listen to a lot of country growing up and this riff sounds like a straight rip-off of Tim McGraw's "I like it, I love it.

i'm sorry, but i'm just not feeling either uno or dos. and i don't think there is anything wrong with fans wanting the classic green day sound. after all, isn't that why we fell in love with them in the first place? i'm not saying that i don't want them to progress as a band, but all this new stuff doesn't even sound like the same band.

I said I will still give it a listen for sure, I'm just not turning all giddy fan boy like most people are cause the last album was pure shit.
