truthbetoldxx 06/23/12 05:06 PM

that clip sounds horrible

_veges_ 06/23/12 05:09 PM

Everything they've released about these so far has made me feel like these are going to be terrible

JoeForPresident 06/23/12 05:13 PM

i disagree with the above statements, i'm actually more excited after hearing these teasers

mrnubnub 06/23/12 05:15 PM

:(

zporter92 06/23/12 05:24 PM

Wasn't too excited that It's Fuck Time was going to be on the album, but the little tweaks they made to the song have me excited

Stroke 06/23/12 05:29 PM

I like how this sounds.

sammyboy516 06/23/12 05:29 PM

The clip sounds really awesome, love that guitar sound.

TGinTexas 06/23/12 05:29 PM

I can't be the only one that thinks a 40 year old man writing a song with that title is a little weird

Edit: Clip sounds really good though

YOUAREtehSCENE 06/23/12 05:31 PM

i don't even know, music should be in some
Quentin Tarantino movie.

Jesus, they can't win. First, they mature their sound and everyone wants them to go back to how they were. Now that they have gone back to non-serious lyrics, people criticize them for being too old.

Anyway, I saw this a while ago (the band put it on their Youtube account on Thursday), but I really can't wait for these albums, and especially the inevitable tour.

PopPunkKid 06/23/12 05:52 PM

This sounds so good. I'm really happy with the direction they're going in, even though it's just gonna make all the kids who listen to generic pop-punk hate them even more now.

ChaseTx 06/23/12 05:59 PM

Glad they seem to be done with band uniforms. I rather dislike that stuff.

whitelightning7 06/23/12 05:59 PM

I love the sound of this. It is actually making me really excited for these set of albums.

heyzombiehitler 06/23/12 05:59 PM

Foxboro hot tubs?

Also they shouldn't be getting ahead of themselves. Something tells me one or both of the later albums are going to get pushed back.

Searos 06/23/12 06:14 PM

I am stoked for this. These clips have both sounded cool. I welcome the change especially since the guitar sounds good.

daftpunker45 06/23/12 06:20 PM

Oh well. We'll see.

Searos 06/23/12 06:32 PM

I think people complaining about this clip may actually hate rock music and only love punk and pop punk. It may be possible for people to be restricted to only liking 1 or 2 genres of music and to have completely given up on rock music all together. That would be a pitty. Can't wait to hear green day if they are doing upbeat rock n roll.

I love rock and roll but something about these clips tells me that they're not exactly going to be the next Foo Fighters

agreed. GD can't fucking win with some people. I like how this sounds and I like the artwork!

Ciattk 06/23/12 06:51 PM

FUCK that sounds sooooooo good.

I would not want them to be the next Foo Fighters. Don't get me wrong but every group that trys and sounds like Foo Fighters ends up sounding like Nickleback. Rock n' Roll has a good variety of sounds and originally had its roots in blues. It evolved in many ways over the years so I can see this being good if they are just releasing jams that have good bass and guitar lines. I don't expect Green Day to ever be the best thing around again but something fun to listen to with a good rift does seem like what may be coming.

Basketcase 06/23/12 07:01 PM

judging from the last 2 clips/trailers released, i am digging this new sound :fly:

Ryanlolz 06/23/12 07:08 PM

Sounds a lot like the bridge riff from "Teenagers" by My Chemical Romance.

Grohl 06/23/12 07:16 PM

It's something different. I'm okay with that.

jdr277 06/23/12 07:27 PM

I think it's great how different this sounds. I love when a band experiments, it doesn't always work out but it's better than the Offspring who just released an album that sounds exactly like every other album they have out. It's better to try and fail than to never try at all! Also I love what I've heard, I'm getting excited!

I have no problem at all with their sounds. I personally love their earlier work and their latest stuff, I just find it weird that they would write a song with that title. I don't have a problem with it, it's just weird for me. I really have high hopes for these records though.

Hojonny 06/23/12 07:45 PM

Man, Ryan has really sleeved up since I started listening to this band.

EDIT: I blame the internet but I'm at the bottom of the wrong comments section...

brokencyde 06/23/12 08:25 PM

Baby Baby It's Fuck Time!!!!

70x7brandnew 06/23/12 08:26 PM

This is straight up classic Rock n Roll. Love it.

I wasn't attacking your post personally, I was more using it as an example, haha. I saw your edit and know you love the band, but some people believe what you said but also hate on the band.

Mistle 06/23/12 08:49 PM

art is atrocious but the music sounds alright. the guitar tone is fantastic

runningohfive 06/23/12 09:28 PM

So far this all sounds incredibly interesting and I can't wait for these albums.

TomAce 06/23/12 10:07 PM

sounds fucking awesome to me

themagicrat 06/23/12 10:10 PM

Sounds like pretty classic rock music to me. Probably isn't a bad move after that piece of shit last record.

How is that weird? You grow up and shed a sense of humor?

I got a bit of a country vibe to it

they should at least release a song from uno first before they release a trailer for dos

PeeDster 06/24/12 03:59 AM

You know what. That sounded good too. That guitar sound is just great.

CarouselBoy 06/24/12 04:25 AM

It just excites me that these clips don't sound like stuff from their last two records. Not that they were bad, they just need to do something different

Born_For_This 06/24/12 04:44 AM

That actually sounded quite good. I'd like these three albums to contain something that sounds like their American Idiot sound and then something new like this.

MathewHeroic 06/24/12 06:25 AM

So stoked.

TheModernAge 06/24/12 07:15 AM

After 21st Century Breakdown I refuse to get excited about Green Day anymore. I will definitely listen to these and hope that they can prove me wrong, but I really doubt it.

They already have release dates and album art. Pushing any of them back would pretty much wreck the concept, and I think the label is committed at this point and the albums are done. Unless the first one doesn't sell any copies (which won't happen), they'll go ahead as planned and release all three on schedule.

I'd be willing to bet on that. This isn't like Stephen Jenkins speculating on the release of Ursa Minor.

Way to keep an open mind, bud.

GeeBee 06/24/12 07:48 AM

Wow. The Gin Blossoms called from 1996. They want their guitar riffs back.
